This was an interesting dilemma today. I received a pdf file from a customer for some short run prototype labels for small bottles. When I imported it into Flexi it came in with no font missing info and my only problem was that there were 6 masks on the graphic and when a certain one was...
I would try that but because it is digital, then one has to clean and make sure it stays that way while re rolling. It just may not be worth the effort.
Is it traditionally accepted that when we purchase rolls of banner that we are expected to throw away the last 10 to 15' of material as it usually has a crease that runs across the banner causes by the first X amount of winding? Does that make any sense? probably not. In any case I have 2...
have you tried printing various colour charts using the color tables available in Flexi? I print the pantone to cmyk coated charts in 720 x720 and 1440 x 720 and 360 x 540 and between the 3, I will come pretty close to most colours needed.
Gabagoo!!! I fell over laughing when I heard that word on SCTV years ago and never thought about it again until I needed a name in this online golf game I played 10 years ago. It stuck and I basically use it for everything internet related. Beats Noodlepimp!! thats a whole other story.
The...
Oh but they can!!!!
about 15 years ago I had a different unit in this complex and in the winter I started finding those little turds around my Gerber sprint. As the day wore on a strnage shrimp like odour would come out of the sprint as it got hot. I opened the lid where the boards were and...
No I think your wrong on my situation. I live in a residential area that is pretty new (20 years old) and I have seen them before outside. No rats around although I have a family of Racoons living under my neighbours deck and have found a dead mouse in the pool and I think a mole. Thats it. I...
Although I print with a Mimaki, I cut with a Summa and the sucker is pretty dead on. Sometimes I dont even need a bleed!!!
I cringe when I read your story as I know that frustration. I would contact your dealer and tell them the rep does not know the equipment and can they send someone else.
So I am sitting in bed watching my beloved Golf Channel and I catch something out of the corner of my eye. I re-focused and there crawiling across the floor was a little mouse!!! He ran into the ensuite washroom and I ran in after him. I didn't want to lose sight of him and the ceramics in the...
well I think all he really needed was the fluids as he is back to normal and meowing away. Dr called and says he might have a form of aids which is common in cats or some such thing but he was only 30% sure. If we wanted he could do more tests. ...... NO!
Take this morning at 5am......he comes...
They are much different than most plotters. I love it when it is cutting an edge job with curves. It is almost like it is figuring out how to cut it faster and faster. After every so many get cut you can definately hear the machine getting faster and faster. I also like using it to cut...
Last week sometime we think our cat may have had an altercation with a raccoon. Oliver, although declawed as he was supposed to be an indoor cat way back when, has always been a scrapper. He would fight for territory with neighbours cats with claws and yet he would always come home the victor it...
Thanks guys...it really is a great plotter, to bad its only 15" or I would use it more for strictly cutting. I did today though, put a new cutting strip in and that was fun trying to get the old adhesive out of that channel!!
I have a 15" envision plotter and even though we dont use it that much anymore I was wondering what sort of maintenance can be performed on the unit. The two steel wheels that move the carriage look like they could uselubrication but fear maybe your not supposed to. Not sure of anything else...
I now hear that General Formualtions sells a film for wrapping.
Great price I hear. anyone here using it? If so I would like to hear your opinions on the product.
i feel better now, I am not alone in my daily struggle.

i have seen powered usb hubs and they are like $50.00 where do u get them for 6.
The summa just finished cutting the graphic when I switched back to a regular usb 2 cable for a desktop printer although it is tight.
service loop or whatever they call wherby the machine goes out and then back before cutting. Sometimes it is very unncecessary and wasteful of time. Is there a way to turn it off?
I have been running my Summa plotter from my Laptop recently and I tried a 15 foot usb2 cable but it nothing happens so I bought a 6 foot cable and yesterday it was cutting. Today I tried sending a 48" x 72" vinyl cut and 33% in the plotter stops and the program manager is locked at 33% and not...
