  1. best way to mount on existing structure

first off if you have never drilled thru stainless...IT SUCKS! BUT if I had to i would make a aluminum frame and mount panels on both sides. I would drill a bolt thru the aluminum and then the stainless and attach with lock nuts at top and on side just drill large self drilling screws into...

  5. opinions on plotter tracking

signwarehouse tech support said: If the material ends where it started, then the cutter is tracking correctly. If the tracking was off, it would not end in the same place it started. while I can agree with that i do NOT think it would happen on every roll of vinyl

i ALWAYS show me first I never just cut and it will take about 5-7 times of trying to show me before i cut it and it makes it. as far as the "tractor holes" dear God I wish they woudl do away with those and quit kissing Gerbers a**! lol I keep my grits clean no doubt my machines are immaculate...

  9. And we're ashamed to charge $50.00 for a design

what they dont tell you is how many hours, how many artists were working on this and for how long? we all know ad agencies make their money doing these things. what else they dont tell you is how many ways they offered to implimate the design on several areas of media, brochures, commercial and...

  11. Love my subs!

Ill agree! Some of the best money I ever made was subbing out to a local larger sign company to get lots of large signs done. Back 5-6 years ago it was freaking awesome. Now that company is gone due to the economy but I still enjoy signs365, vinyl graphix and other companies I use. I have no...

Of course I see they chose some "off the wall" font as opposed to helv or arial....of course they did they are architects and everything has to be difficult
  14. Thin lines - AutoCad?

I would do NOTHING and make them do it OR charge them enormous amounts to redo it. The smaple oyu are showing looks to be mnothing more than a radiused rectangle with type and circle I could recreate that less than 5 minutes, do the other signs look like this? if they do you will have no...

I would not clear over bad clear until it was completely removed
  16. New formed plastic face?

OR remove all and buff the face back out, sometimes you can buff enough to save the face
  17. best way to handle this

Krystals logo is now done this way and it looks great at night and in the daytime. I dont see a problem with it. I would start out with a white face though and then cover all according colors with black and the logo
  18. How to remove hand-lettering from a sail boat's gel coat

get to sanding! I would go with lots of water and 1000 grit finish up with 1500grit and then buff it out. Should not bea problem just a little work
  19. My first time lettering awnings (with paint)

I always use a house brush to brush on the first coat and sorta get the edges of the vinyl sealed down and them go with roller. you will never get crisp libnes when you used masking but usually its doable from a short distance
