  1. 80x100cm Heat Press, 220V Dryer Outlet Wiring?

.. I may be missing something that you are trying - if the adapter you are making connects to a ground and not a neutral you should be good (this has to be separate from the 3-prong socket as there is no ground on the old 3-prong socket)
  2. 80x100cm Heat Press, 220V Dryer Outlet Wiring?

. DO NOT DO THIS!!! If there is a short internally in the printer, there is no "ground" only neutral - a short will energize the neutral leg. Worst case this cause someone to get a shock from a 110v device, it could also mess with electronics on the 110v in your shop. What would be better is...
  3. Material recommendation for coloring pages needed.

"Engineering bond" is what they print "blue-prints" on these days - it is basically 20# bond copier paper, but comes on a roll for the wide format. it should work well, and prints just fine. It will make awesome sheets for coloring. Kelly paper stocks 24", 30", and 36" rolls that are all...
  4. Material recommendation for coloring pages needed.

just have them call Veritiv or Kelly Paper and order a box of parent sheets - many different sized, 23"x35" and 26"x40" are common parent sheet sizes. A white vellum bristol 110# should work for coloring.
  5. 80x100cm Heat Press, 220V Dryer Outlet Wiring?

yes, if you have a 4-prong setup, this will work, you simply ignore the neutral leg when wiring EU spec 220v to a U.S. 4-prong 220v (I did not see the initial image)... but from your first post you said you have a 3-prong dryer socket you would like to use - this does not have a true ground...
  6. 80x100cm Heat Press, 220V Dryer Outlet Wiring?

First, let's clarify something from "bob" traditionally (and in the USA) ground=earth However, 'neutral' does not equal 'ground'. The U.S. system uses a neutral leg with 110v rise and drop - giving a full 220v between the hot legs, and 110v between either hot leg and the neutral.... Now...
  7. 80x100cm Heat Press, 220V Dryer Outlet Wiring?

Please do your own research - but from what I recall, European 220v sockets have what could be referred to as "hot" "neutral" and "ground/earth" - these loosely correspond to the U.S. standard 110v plug that also has a hot, a neutral, and a ground. However, in the U.S. the "neutral" was also...
  8. Thickest material die cut on a fc9000

..oops! I reversed the direction when typing - it should be: about1" down to about .02"up (but 'up' is relative as you still want a cut, but not all the way through. The down part must be a through cut, the up should be all but a few fibers.
  9. Thickest material die cut on a fc9000

... and contour shapes seem to cut just fine as well....
  10. Thickest material die cut on a fc9000

I cut banners from the UltraFlex material on the fc9000 all the time... care must be taken to use a very sharp blade, set the depth to cut all but a few fibers - and go slow, I set the speed to 10 for banners and have a perf pattern a of about 1"up to .02" down. Use the segment correction for...
  11. Gym Signs

Ha! it would be really bad to receive a 3 mil thick sign when you think you are getting a 3 mm thick sign! (3 mil = 0.0762 mm)
  12. need real world feedback of the HP W800

if you stretch an image taller, then measure from the middle - are the dimensions of the top and bottom off in different directions? it looks like a simple y-axis length increase. Could be caused by tension, heat, or combination.
  13. need real world feedback of the HP W800

I had some media loading issues on our 700 - but we also had noticed some size fluctuations on posters. The tech replaced the entire paper-path into then up to the pinch rollers. He also fully cleaned the knurling on the pinch roller, was going to replace, but the knurling was still sharp...
  14. What goes on first PPF or Vinyl wrap?

I have always been advised that the quality of the original paint can not be guaranteed after any wrap - especially after color changing wrap. This is not my main area of expertise, but it makes sense that the application or removal may damage the underlying paint (not to mention the reaction...

  16. People asking for logos...I'm getting irritated

I originally got into this field as a founding partner in a small advertising agency, mostly graphic based. We had 2 full time artists and contracted out most printing for everything. Unless things have changed, the artist maintains all the copyrights to artwork created UNLESS the rights are...
  17. VP 300i - Potential Dead Fuse?

... a good tip on modern electronics is to unplug, then hit the power button - on most new equipment where the power button is not a hard toggle switch, hitting the button causes all the capacitors in the power supply to drain, this in-turn drains the voltage from a lot of (if not all) the...
  18. No Snowflakes or Bleedinghearts need to post

Frank, you can google the same raw data that I can - just please look for the raw data. You can see the data is used by both sides to try to argue. I do not think I will convince you of anything - please look at the raw data and make an informed conclusion, not just citing other peoples...
  19. No Snowflakes or Bleedinghearts need to post

"An armed society, is a polite society." - Robert A. Heinlein lots of truth to this, and in the U.S.A. the cities and states with the highest percentage of gun ownership and lowest restrictions on gun ownership trend toward having the lowest gun violence as well. There a lots of studies that...
