  1. I still want to know....

Um... if the liner allows outgassing... why hasn't it outgassed already?
  2. I still want to know....

Hey! That's my shtick!:Big Laugh I want to know too.....
  3. reflective & water application

Cut and pasted from the other thread: I've never noticed the protective liner to have any bubbles under it. Presumably the protective liner was installed long before any "out-gassing" would have finished taking place. Why is the liner immune to out-gassing? I believe Mikepro has put his...

Can't you just hear little Nydugu going,"DOH!!"
  5. Received this email yesterday...I take it this is a scam?

Tell the Rev your prices include free shipping.
  6. im in troubel

This out-gassing theory still baffles me. I've never noticed the protective liner to have any bubbles under it. Presumably the protective liner was installed long before any "out-gassing" would have finished taking place. Why is the liner immune to out-gassing? I think this poster simply...
  7. Night-time "human directionals": need help starting my empire :)

Anyone else notice the tags for this thread? I'm here all by myself and I laughed out loud. (I copied and pasted them into my post in case they change... although I expect it was our fearless leader who did it.) "dumb fukken idea, handheld, human directionals, led, mobile, night"
  8. How do you create a curve of a known shape and size in Illustrator?

Windshields are neither cones nor sections of cylinders. They are free-form curves. You'll go bonkers trying to figure out a formula for that. I just throw a long strip of paper across the windshield and measure the gap at the top. This is the amount to curve the graphic. You can take more...
  9. Apple vs. PC poll

I've been trying to get my email to work on my Windows7 PC all day. It worked fine yesterday when I shut the @#^% thing down. I'm getting a little peeved. So Macs don't do this sort of thing eh.....
  10. Critique my Card

    Don't whine.
  11. How not to get the job

"prospective"!!?? Sweet Jesus! Stop it man!
  12. How not to get the job

"Minus well" comes from another poster. I cannot, unfortunately, claim this hilarious breech of English as my own creation. A member of this site was actually using the term in earnest.
  13. How not to get the job

    Never mind. Quote frigged up.
  14. Critique my Card

    No.
  15. Latex paint: What is the secret to an even coat?

Latex is tough to spray... and I'm just guessing here but I suspect my $300 Binks works a little better than the "purple one from Harbor Freight". A $1 foam roller does the job just fine, doesn't require cleaning, doesn't make a mess of overspray all over the shop, uses less paint....etc.
  16. Tuckered out on this one

    No pic.
  17. Color IQ Test

Down to a 3 on the CRT. I didn't move a single block and hit "get score" and I got 1025. I wonder how you get 1520?
  18. Latex paint: What is the secret to an even coat?

I use 5"(?) foam rollers. I dip the roller endwise into the quart can of latex and then roll it out. I work pretty fast and I always keep the edge wet as I go along. Don't go back over the laid down paint too much... you'll make "dry" spots. The other time tested secret... "practice".
  19. Ugh, another day with a supplier that is failing.

    I'm stickin' with rotary.
  20. Color IQ Test

Got 11 on the lcd. I was thinking a couple hours back (no it didn't hurt), before I had seen this test, about how I kinda liked using my old CRT even though it's tiny. I like how it's the same brightness no matter what the viewing angle is. I wish my lcd was like that. Is it a crappy lcd, or...
