  2. Backlit Signage

Depends on the design, might be WAAYYY easier and cheaper to use cut trans film and white lexan....not to mention look better, inkjet prints if not done correctly have a "washed' look.
  3. Retroreflective vinyl recommendations

I never have problems weeding 5700, the 5600 is brittle and cracks too easily, works good on flat signs but not vehicles, IMO Wait I think I might have them flipped, the 5700 is the brittle stuff and 5600 is for vehicles...

Hard to tell you without knowing your overhead. What is you cost per hour of operations... Get a signcraft price guide. I get $8 a foot for high performance cut vinyl, plus install. $5 for stuff like oracal 651. Reflective I get $12.50 for 5600 oralite or scotchcal
  12. Reverse cut reflective??

People are stupid!!! But you could cut it, then lam...nevermind that is stupider!!! APPLY outside the glass like 3M says to do! The glass would limit the reflectivity, tell them 3M says so...

First problem is a 20" machine...LOL. as long as the head is docked you shouldn't have a problem, I am pretty sure. Good lesson to have one of each color, but I am sure you have already figured that out. Not 100% but I wouldn't worry about any damage to your machine. I had one of my i54 run out...
  18. Suppliers make me angry

Someone is not telling the whole story. I can't believe a supplier would sell to Joe Schmo off the street one time at a lower cost than a 5 year customer. There has to be more to it, like Joe Schmo is trying to get YOU to lower your price by telling you he got it cheaper.

  20. Wallpaper Lining Up Sheets

I don't do wallpaper, but on big prints 60"x 96" long wide I trim them down with our 100" ruler from speed press, I never thought it was worth the $ until I had it. the less the overlap the better, but on big stuff 1/2" is good for me. Most of the time I am .2" though or less.
