I wouldn't trash it yet. Take some slant off the name and try it in white like your phone number. That shows up good.

Something that should also be mentioned; the logo suggestions that were presented were just that... suggestions. They were not polished designs that were finished. They are just rough ideas to hopefully gently steer you away from non-legible, nasty colour combos and no contrast and get you...

Maybe try white text with a dark navy outline?

It's borderline illegible. I can't make out the script with the outline the same weight as the font. The black "Colorado" looks out of place with all that colour. I like the candy concept though.
