I dumped one for being rude to me. She was real piece of work... demanding, condesending and an expert in graphic design, branding and sign fabrication. After a few choice encounters with her and her "assistant" (part time book keeper) I told her she could no longer afford me. It still makes me...
I fooled with my entry a bit in Photoshop since I never do stuff like that. I used a watercolour filter and a texture. Then I blurred some parts of it. I used different masking tools which is also new to me. I learned several new things. I would like to send nicer looking renderings to customers...
I need a better post. The pictorial in the centre would be applied to a glass panel so it appeared to be "magically " floating in place. ( I stole the mushroom picture off Google images. Beautiful isn't it.)
I really liked the first one. I would raise the little guy up so his overalls didn't blend into the panel. It would also raise his hat/hairline above the black outline that passes under it. Shame about the phone number.
Crap! It's starting to sprinkle here and I gotta go to the airport tonight to pick up my wife. Hour and a half drive each way (in the summer). They're calling for 20cm by midnight and high winds. Visibility generally sucks. Should be a journey into hell...
Have you tried it like post#10 but with the green filled in completely around the letters? The white bits have more contrast than the text right now. Also the fade Jill suggested sounds good.
I once stepped over the top cable of the power utility line here.
This is most likely where that first pic is from. http://www.google.ca/images?um=1&hl=en&lr=&biw=1520&bih=828&tbs=isch%3A1&sa=1&q=newfoundland+snow+pictures&aq=0&aqi=g2&aql=&oq=%22newfoundland+snow%22
I can't find the photos...
Having a degree does not mean you have common sence.
He probably thought a laser engraver sounded like a cool toy to play with and at $230 for a cleaning... well he can afford a few cool toys.
Nice hand drawn work. I agree it would look better if you had also drawn "The". I would also suggest it could use a bit more contrast but you are probably going for a pastel look.
