There is a cap made for that. You squeeze out a bead of caulk around the edge and then push it on. I'd paint it as well. That sign would have been better on 1/4" Alupanel.

Hey! Dental floss and masking tape! Very clever. Who would have guessed it would cut vinyl cleanly? Fifty cents a foot is a bit steep though.... It wouldn't take a genius to make up a tape winding jig. A drill press and a paint roller, some clamps...... Maybe it's Spider Wire fishing line?

I have no router so take this for what it's worth.. could spinning something that small, that fast, snap it if it was even the tiniest bit out of balance? If it went harmonic it would dissappear, I would think. Again, I have no idea how much would be sticking out of the collet.
