Lawmakers in the Lone Star State are proposing the creation of a depository that would allow the state to store gold at its own facility. Will it work and could other states do the same? Jim Rickards, Tangent Capital, weighs in...
  2. Brother-Jet Mini/Small Direct White ink UV Flatbed Printer

Yep, this is a modified Epson Stylus 4000 series printer, I have a Epson Stylus Pro 4800 and it is identical to the one shown in this video, except for the modified lower section that allows flat-bed printing. http://www.brotherjet.com/play.php?id=2vmuUjqKVZM
  3. Flexi Versus AI

:goodpost: Me to, if you have both AI and Flexi Pro, (as I do), hands down I would rather do all my wrap designing in AI (and PS), and only use Flexi for printing. Those who don't have AI and ONLY have Flexi are forced to do any design work in Flexi, but in my opinion, AI is far better...

  5. Playing around with something new.

Ok, BALL PICK, it looked like burnishing tool to me... Hey, if your happy with the way it looks as is, fine, however don't put it up for critique, if you don't want to hear honest opinions! YOUR WORDS: "back of the shirts possibly, unless you make me hate it." :banghead: Oh yea, don't...

  7. How many of you actually use PerfCut?

Ok, I'll bite. This sounds like a workable solution, can you give a little more information details. What printer/cutter are you referring to? What type - kind - thickness laminate are you using? What size, how wide and long do you cut the laminate and how are you securing it over the...
  8. Playing around with something new.

Everything above "AND" looks ok, although a bit busy and hard to read. Do the squint test on the font used on "screen printing", and you will see how bad it is. Don't like the ribbon graphic at the bottom, looks amateurish, try making it look more real and dimensional. I have a...
  9. Ink Warning changed?

What was the FORMAT giving you the problem, and what FORMAT did you change it to that eliminated the problem? Just in case I ever get this issue, thanks... :notworthy:
  10. How many of you actually use PerfCut?

That's ok, I have a FC7000, and was thinking it would be better to do the perfcuts on it instead of the Roland printer, so I will have to check into this, the cutting strip on the FC7000 has the grove in the front of the cutting strip (for sheet cuts).
  11. Oracal vinyl ?

    +1 :thumb:
  12. Trimming ACM (Polymetal)

I have used a straightedge clamped to the edge of the substrate, and used utility knife to score both sides (top & bottom) and then snap off the edge strip, doing this to trim 1/2" from the edge, but nothing smaller. I think 1/4" is to small for this method, so I would use a small laminate...
  13. 3M Buys Rights to ORACAL !

Wow, I would have to sell my printer and cutter and buy a paint brush!!! Oh wait, I haven't done and show cards or lettered trailers by hand since I purchased my Macintosh in 1985... :wavingflag:
  14. How many of you actually use PerfCut?

I saw Roland demo the perf cut feature in Vegas a few years ago, but have NOT actually used it myself. I'm interested to see the responses to this thread.

  17. Roland SP300V printing heads issue

NOT a headache if the price is RIGHT. As long as you can get the printer for a good price, you could have a Roland tech give it a complete work-over making it function like new!
