  1. New Client Nightmare Job

I just assumed it was for a shop fascia. Glad you said what CND meant. (what do bows have to do with that?) hahaha
  2. Feedback Results

It's really off balance. Themis looks thrown in as an afterthought. His name seems to have more pop, however. Go listen to some Ratt and try again. Love....Jill
  3. Our New Logo

This is exactly why I didn't post any actual suggestions. I hope John did make some money for being nice enough to help.
  4. Our New Logo

Send Tater his $500 and he'll send you the files. Maybe you can polish a turd after all.
  5. Our New Logo

    That's unfortunate.
  6. Which Design Feedback

C if I had to pick one. But they all seem a bit weak and slightly disjointed. Love.....Jill Here's a suggestion, not set in stone, but based on what you already have.
  7. Our New Logo

Name: LHF Quantum, Sugargirl, or Convecta (tho I feel 3D is on its way out) Sign DNA Kaylon Heavy or Banner Heavy Subcopy: Art & Signfonts Sign Gothic Sign DNA Froggy or Stix LHF Stanford Script
  8. Can't We Just Shoot'em?

Faux Goth isn't that bad, he will outgrow it. If he talks like a preppie he may have manners. Does he open the car door for her, etc? I think that may be a better way of judging his character. I'd rather have a polite guy even with piercings and eyeliner dating my daughter than some brutish lout...
  9. New Client Nightmare Job

Hahaha I was going for DollarGeneralesque with that font, called Island of Misfit Toys. Some client's taste is all in their mouths. :)
  10. Our New Logo

That is almost equally as bad. Looks like something just typed out. The fonts don't go together. You have sort of a space age font, which suits the name, in your title but then you threw in some almost declaration of independence schoolbooky looking font underneath. It's like wearing a Michael...
  11. Our New Logo

Delete it from your computer and hire someone like Neato, Weasel, Stevo, etc etc. These symbols mean something to you but nothing to a client. It's just awful, and that's as honest as I can be. There is nothing remotely good in it, and it won't do you any good. You cannot polish a turd.
  12. Fire truck

That looks like the kind of lettering which is applied to new trucks at the factory. I can't remember who makes it but I think it's a company from down in the southern US. (hows that for vague) When I do a truck with trucks like this in the same garage I do it in layered vinyl, SignGold over...
  13. Price per letter?

No. I don't price per letter and I don't sell signs by the pound. I have a $25 minimum order, and if that's too expensive, you probably don't want to deal with them anyway. That's what CriCuts are for. Love.....Jill
  14. Our New Logo

Surely you jest. I'm not trying to be mean, but what the hell is that? Some sort of ancestral seal gone postal? Yes we get the idea that you must have something to do with print. But a mailbox? A shoddy yard sign? A bullseye looking thing? Please for the love of God and mankind, and all designy...
  15. New Client Nightmare Job

Bob you are 100% right, I totally dropped the ball and it does read wrong. Here's an uber-cheesy suggestion. Maybe try talking her into burgundy rather than red?
  16. New Client Nightmare Job

Here's a quickie. I'm not a fan of using such a dark drop shadow normally but this would allow you to give her the colors she wants, black, red, silver. Love.....Jill PS I have a cousin nicknamed Bimbo. He's about 55 years old and would kick the sh!t out of anyone who would tease him about...
  17. You want me to teach you what!!!

I once had some skanky b!tch drop in and ask if she could "borrow" my software disc because the plotter she bought at a flea market didn't come with one. I told her sure, for $1000 I'd loan it to her. Her "sign shop" was open about 1 month. Unfortunately, we can expect this crap to keep on...
  18. Nice Sunset

Lovely lovely. I am a huge sunset fan, learned it from my grandma and passed it on to my son. I prefer sunsets over sunrises. Love.....Jill
  19. Staying competitive

I wish there was an option for both cut vynull and hand lettering cuz that's what I do. (if I do need a print I sub out but I rarely do that) Love.....Jill
  20. New Shop Truck Layout

Well...it looks better than it did but it still looks kind of icky. Does it have to be slanted? I think that's adding to the "yak" factor. Must the logo have the yellow-green fade? There is some dissonance with the color. If you add in the lettering like before please no brackets on the area...
