Did you do the math on how many days this would take one guy?
Just as a side note; I do 18 wheelers for a local company...all the same. The first one took me 2 hours..... after doing 50 I'm down to 40 minutes each.
If the compay you worked for said they would like to pay you less per hour if they give lots more hours would that turn your crank? Seems like the same thing to me. That said.. there is always some shmuck who will sell his soal to get a job that size. You will have to feel out the customer as to...
I would have guessed it would take me 4 hours. After 50 or so I would think I would be able to shave some time off that but I'm not inclined to make less money just because I got better at my job. It will cost you same skill and experience to do the 200th as it did the first. That work should...
That won't work. The first one nearly hit the ceiling. It would have severed the rope for sure. I would have plunged to my doom.
The helper idea seems to be the best. Just give them a pair of shears and go "get the coffee"... yeah... that's the ticket....
The third one when like a charm. I remembered my old Fuji took video so I have the event for posterity. Don't know how to post it here though. It's an avi file if that helps.
You're just evil. Santa forgot my video camera last year so no vid. I got 2 opened with only a minor contusion to my shin. I came in for my TKD shin and knee pads for the last one. The rope was better than just cutting the strap....
I may be the first person to ever collect on one of those cheap insurance policies that you have to sever one arm and one leg on opposite sides.... I'm going to finish my tea and try Bob's "rope trick". Unless someone pipes up with a better idea. (I don't have an apprentice so that's out. I...
Thanks Bob. I noticed you said "would do". Have you tried your method or are you looking for a guinea pig?
I have visions of the local paper next week...."Local man horribly disfigured by rolled plastic". (I've got 3 sitting in the shop for immediate "deployment"...... wish me luck!)
How do you un-roll lexan panels for lighted sign cabinets? They arrive here rolled up with a strap around them. I cut the strap and fling myself out of the way and hope for the best. There has to be a better way. Please help!
Thanks for looking. Yeah... I know... the forms don't work but I'm slammed with work and deadlines and I just don't have time to frigg with it. The site is mostly just my brochure anyway. I'll see if I can get it functioning between Christmas and New Year. Thanks for the heads up.
Thanks jesse. I have done nothing with SEO. I don't even know what an "H tag" is. (what is it?) Also "alt or title tags"? Would that be the page title?
The site is made with Xara. It's a WYSIWYG website making program for dummies so I have no idea what a sprite or a css move is either. When...
I saw a steel building, flat as pancake splayed up against a row of trees so that it looked like a foil chip bag stuck in a bush, roofs blown off, tractor trailers blown off the road... it was pretty surreal.
Here's our house from the street.
We got some "gusting wind" Tuesday night. That's what they said on the weather report anyway. The pictures just don't do the scene justice. I saw way worse today but forgot my camera. I'm going back for a few pics in the morning. Most people got their power back today.
Whoa now..... I've only got 2 stripes. I'm a second degree (or "Dan") Blackbelt in Taekwondo. It took me 7 years to reach second Dan.
And I make a mean batch of pancakes.
