I get a rich black using about 60% of cmy and 90% of K. While we are on this subject, how come illustrator files I get always have black as simply 100K? Photoshop, another Adobe product does it differently and makes it richer for printing. There must be a reason why?

run samples of greys...lots of them and then take them outside and look closely. I find it almost impossible not to either pick up a slight greenish look or a browny look although they look fine inside.

do what Bob said. I use my charts everyday to source colours. I to print from Flexi and even using the pallets that are supposed to reflect colour charts from vinyl mfg never works that well as who knows what profile and media they were designed for

The mimaki has a main on switch which needs to stay on for sleep mode. I don't think turning that off is going to significantly change anything green.

This computer has always been fast enough to run the Edge and Omega with no problems, but I have a sneaking suspician that there may be some form of spyware or something that may have got into it. I don't use it to access the internet, but if a customer comes in and asks to look something up...

it's definately 2000, and only for Omega as it will not work with xp. (1.56 anyway)
