  1. How to clean up clip art for cutting?

Just like everyone else on this thread I'm going to tell you what you dont' want to hear. If you don't know how to use Illustrator, or even HAVE Illustrator or another design software, why are you in this business? Is your cutter a Cricut? Gary
  2. Bad roll? or Not?

Why in the world did you switch to the Sihl if you had such good luck with the Clear Vue? I have no personal experience with the Sihl, but this makes the fourth person I have heard with major problems. Gary
  3. Keep the Digs Coming

OK....That was funny. Mosh, you're like a little brother...Annoying as hell, and infuriating to boot...But you're starting to grow on me... Gary
  4. Contour Cutting TWICE??

Are you filling your contour? If so, that could be causing the problem. You should either fill it with no stroke, or have a stroke and no fill.
  5. Outdoor Sign

That's gonna be an expensive backlit sign. I would try Hendricks. Their website is www.hvfi.com Gary
  6. 5 things you didnt know about me game

#1. I played professional football #2. I love to write and play music #3. I loathe Celine Dion, and by loath, i mean if someone made the mistake of leaving me in a room with Celine Dion and a baseball bat, bad things would happen. #4. I can recite nearly every word from the movie Young Guns...
  7. Keep the Digs Coming

Well, I'd do it as a solid panel for each side. I would totally scrap the Arlon material and go with 3M IJ180 V1. You HAVE to laminate. Whether you do it in house or not is irrelivent. But it MUST be done. That's about it. Have you done wraps before? because if not, this may not be the...
  8. cut 12mil

Turn the speed way down and the pressure way up. Gary
  9. vinyl and vehicle rivets

Rolle-Pro is fantastic. Also, get an air release tool (little round thing with lots of sharp points that you roll over the rivets). I use a torch rather than a heat gun, but the same principle applies. The only time that the Rolle-Pro won't do the job on cut vinyl is if your lettering only...
  10. What'cha think of this design?

I think the mint green looks better than the earlier versions. It feels like there should be a way to make the 3D Baby Ultrasound and surrounding shape actually LOOK like an ultrasound image...Maybe with some photoshop work? I dunno - just an idea. Gary
  11. Ink "Not Original"?

As said before - Smart Card issue. Another thing that you may want to double check - not sure if you are using a ValueJet or a Falcon. I ordered ink a couple months ago and the carts I got were Falcon carts. I had no idea. Obviously, I got the same error message you did. Gary
  12. wraptor

I LOVE websites that are purposely vague, don't show you how a process happens, and won't give ANY pricing information. You simply can't inspire trust if you don't do all of these things. HAHAHAHA Gary
  13. Paid with a cow.

    ROFLMAO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :U Rock:
  14. American flag logo

The American Flag is public domain. You can use it. Gary

  16. Dealing with a client that doesn't pay. What to do???

Holy crap....Was that Mosh...Giving good advice? I have no words.... Gary
  17. Dealing with a client that doesn't pay. What to do???

Bob, I think you are the only voice of sanity on this thread! As much as it would feel good for about 10 minutes to do alot of these things, all it would do is RUIN your business name around town. Now, Gino's sign - that I could see working. Especially if you point out to them that it is up...
  18. where can i get this?

Now, to answer the OP... Just about anyone could do this if they have a printer and laminator...HOWEVER...You will pay through the nose for it if your client only needs 1 roll. Talk them into 20-24 rolls and someone might just jump at it - I know I probably would quote it for you. Gary
  19. where can i get this?

Mosh, Your lack of imagination suprises no one... Gary
  20. Cloth Awning Lettering

I've seen it done a few ways - but unless it is a major issue, why not just vinyl it? Gary
