  1. Foreclosed houses....

Rodi, There are two LARGE neighborhoods in town that were built between 1950 & 1965. Both of them have good public elementary schools, low crime rates, and are fairly quiet. Houses in them are usually about 1200 Sq.Ft. and currently run $60,000 - $90,000. After that there's a big jump to...

  4. They know who you are by the fonts that you have.

So does that mean to keep from being tracked I should install a new font every week?
  5. They know who you are by the fonts that you have.

I'm calling bullshit on the number of "unique tests" cause I tested mine five hours AFTER you and got "Your browser fingerprint appears to be unique among the 797,428 tested so far."
  6. Foreclosed houses....

He owes the bank $250,000. If they take $150,000 from him they lose $100,000. If they take $90,000 from somebody else they still get to go after the guy for the other $140,000. After doing some research tonight and talking to a mortgage broker friend of mine I'm going to offer $28,000 for the...
  7. Best method for removal of old vinyl?

Why? Seriously, charge what the job is worth...not what your customer wants to pay. Tell your customer stripping the windows and cleaning will run them $XX, let them decide to pay it or go at it themselves. You're not just selling the labor to do it, you're selling the acquired knowledge of...
  8. scan and trace, where is it?

FILE - ACQUIRE IMAGE - TWAIN ACQUIRE After you scan it, select it and look at your tracing options under the BITMAP menu.
  9. Foreclosed houses....

The first house I ever bought was a great little house. I worked on it constantly, laying tile, painting, refinishing hardwood floors, and building a deck. It was a small house in a neighborhood full of small, starter homes. Just an all around great place to live. Two years after moving in I...

  11. 6x posts

If you've got to use wood posts you're gonna be a lot better off finding 20' round posts, you'll get a lot less warping (if any). If you really want to do the work you can install them without renting a lift but it'll take a whole lot of digging and muscle. Have you mentioned to them that...
  12. Can i span .040 aluminum 4ft??

Not a chance. Even if it looks good when you put it up changing temperatures are gonna oilcan that panel horribly.
  13. The Local Competition

I don't get it either. So they installed it from ladders, what's the problem? We installed a 4'x8' wall mounted cabinet two weeks ago from a couple of extension ladders and never even considered renting a lift or subcontracting to somebody with a bucket truck. And damn, they don't have a...
  14. Interesting Vendor conversation

Sounds like the over-reaction I got from Fellers years ago. We had a roll of JASDI magnetic that was sticking to cars like it was decal I called the people at JASDI and the tech I got on the phone said immediately that they'd had a manufacturing problem and that they were taking care of...
  15. Introducing Ryan Gatesman

Yeah, but before it's all over there will be 100 posts from all those people who don't care. :ROFLMAO:
  16. Phase VI of the Plasti-Plane project!

It is remote controlled. Didn't you see the part about Marcus the business partner taking it up? I can just hear and FAA official now..."You made a bi-plane? With no real plans? Out of scrap corrugated plastic? And there was HOW much beer involved?
  17. Playground signs without rounded corners?!

Stacey, my 12x18, 16x20, 18x24 & 24x36 blanks come in with 1.5" diameter rounded corners. If it's bigger we can have it sheared and rounded at no additional charge. Even on big stuff we'll at a minimum hit it with our 1/2" corner rounder just to take the point off. I think in 18 years I've...
  18. 4x8 coroplast screen print signs

Signmaster is in Prattville so it would be an easy trip for you to pick them up and save the shipping....or I hear there's a shop in Auburn I'll leave unmentioned that will do them cheap if you tell them somebody quoted you a cheaper price.
  19. Playground signs without rounded corners?!

No. I quit shearing my own aluminum and just started having my suppliers do it for me. They don't charge me to round them, I don't charge the customer. I actually don't even give the customer the option, nobody has ever questioned it.
  20. Playground signs without rounded corners?!

Thankfully this guy realized the problem. A lot of the maintenance guys wouldn't have paid any attention to it. I don't know which shop it is locally that's doing it but somebody is sticking square cornered aluminum signs in parking lots all over town.
