Thought I'd share another video I made using the Big Squeegee. Mounting 36" x 48" prints to coroplast using a 50" Big Squeegee. Simple work from a great tool. Feel free to use this video if you like Dale! :thumb::smile: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kk6hPeSoI4k&feature=plcp
  4. Next time you consider a Toshiba product...

Found this link on that article from the Printing Industries of America... you can download a PDF file of "The Value of Print" flip book. Great little resource that addresses the myths about why the printing industry is bad for the environment. Good little read! :thumb...
  5. Next time you consider a Toshiba product...

...consider this article...announced today by the PIA... http://www.printing.org/news/10597 Can you say "Corporate Suicide"? :banghead:
  6. Business Card Slitter / Wholesale Business Cards

Slitter is "Quantum Slitter 1218 BCS with MC-3 die", I purchased from a local company called Cortech Quality Presentation Products Inc. I know it's made in Japan, and it is very good quality! Cost was $10,500  We are a full digital print shop. Our business cards are run on a Xerox 700...
  7. Business Card Slitter / Wholesale Business Cards

(Raising white flag!!!) I am going to have to agree with you all on this! Been googling and WOW, people are practically giving away cards! I guess I do so well locally because I can turn around an order same day, which is something the gang shops can't do! Thanks for the honest feedback...
  8. Business Card Slitter / Wholesale Business Cards

Show me the web site!! (please)
  9. Business Card Slitter / Wholesale Business Cards

Picked up a business card slitter 2.5 months ago... this thing has saved us tons of time in cutting. We produce an average of 5-10 sets of business cards each and every day, and the most time consuming part is the cutting. When you're cutting down 15 names, 250 of each, it can take quite a bit...
  10. What are you cutting stickers with?

Yep, this is what I do when they can print on the Edge FX! Works slick 'n' stuff like that! :thumb: Some great ideas on this thread though. That parallel blade guillotine looks interesting... but then again, I have a Challenge 24" cutter for cases like this!
  11. Customer paid with a cashier check - wrong pay to the order

Yep, that's the same here. Being in a franchise, we always get cheques with our name spelled wrong, or with the wrong address on it (another centre), but have no problems with a straight deposit. No one disputes it, no problem! I'd take this advice and just do it and get your money! :thumb:
  12. New from MN

Welcome from Calgary, Alberta! :Canada 2:
  13. Memories....

Almost 3 years ago! What a great weekend it was... :clapping:
  14. QR codes - please weigh in

For everyone who dislikes QR codes... you have to look beyond the code... look outside the box if you will. Our franchise is marketing QR codes, but not as a stand alone product; rather a bi-product of mobile websites. We recently launched a new program called "Smart+Connect®". First and...
  15. Inexpensive Air-Release Vinyl Options

Based on your comment here, I may just give the 3165RA a shot. It's $11 more per roll at my local supplier here. 54" is $278 per roll vs. $267 for IJ35C. I'll have to consider it for sure. Are you running it on Latex at all? Although I'm sure the Oracal product should run the same as 3M on the...
  16. Big $$$

    Le Impressive!!! :thumb:
  17. Dan Striker

Holy crap! I get busy and am absent from the forum for a while and this happens? :omg2: Hope you are doing alright Dan. Hope the person who did this was properly prosecuted and such!!
  18. Inexpensive Air-Release Vinyl Options

I wonder if Grimco ships to Canada? I see they have a location in Spokane WA, which is just across the border from us. I'd gladly support the US economy if it saves me a lot on supplies! :Big Laugh
  19. Inexpensive Air-Release Vinyl Options

You guys have it made down there! More suppliers to choose from, thus more competitive pricing. Up here, I pay $267 (CDN) for a 54" roll of IJ35C :banghead::banghead:
  20. CS6 and the Cloud

Well, I signed up for the Cloud today because I think it's a great value. No, I don't use every title, but that doesn't matter. $50 per month is nothing. One hour of design time pay for that. Even if they raise their price to $60 or $70 per month... what's the big deal if you can pay for the...
