  1. I'm furious

Um, not so! It's a slow poisoning process. Do the research, you'd be amazed. The childhood obesity epidemic is just the beginning. If people were dying at a young age, then there would be something done about it... changes would be made quite quickly! People still live till the ripe old age of...

  3. Omega 5.0 is here

Thanks Tony! I just installed my upgrade on Thursday last week... did the update this morning! I haven't played around with 5 much yet, but I do love the new features I've seen so far. Well worth the low $400 price tag in my opinion! :thumb:
  4. I'm furious

90% of food in grocery stores is not "real food" and is TOXIC. For those who haven't seen this, and if you care about what you eat, this is worth a watch... http://www.foodmatters.tv/# I've posted about this before and shared what I have been doing to get healthy and improving the quality of...
  5. Vinyl for stickers

:banghead: I respect that! Still won't work on Latex (I've tried it)! :rock-n-roll:
  6. Vinyl for stickers

Um, just stop and think about what you said OP.... Just for a minute!!! I use 3M IJ35C exclusively.... So, just think about your statement now!!! Even if the liner were blank.... You just try to print it on a Latex printer.... Go ahead, try it!!:banghead:
  7. Big Squeegee a HUGE Help!

I think I will have to add to my extensive collection in this case Dale!!! I will put an order together the week after next when I return from Toronto!! :clapping:
  8. Vinyl for stickers

Customers don't even notice (or care) about branding on the liner in my experience! Now, show me a manufacturer who will CUSTOM BRAND the liner with my company logo & info and then this is a topic worth discussing!! :clapping:
  9. Just a reminder, hard drive crashed Friday.

Consider SSD (Solid State Drive). Prices are dropping, and they are a lot less likely to fail than an HDD. Of course you still back them up, because there are no moving parts in them, they are very stable. Always back up to at least 2 devices for maximum peace of mine. Ideally, back up to a...
  10. Printable Vinyl for Oil Changes

What a great idea!! I'll have to do a cost study on that. Otherwise, my vote is also for Gerber Instachange.:thumb:
  11. How do you price vinyl?

Personally, I don't mind the repetitive questions too much... that's how I tend to learn so much and sometimes a little refresher isn't a bad thing! I've pretty much struggled with pricing cut vinyl ever since I started offering the service a few years back now. Fortunately the...
  12. iFactory the very first look at the Apple factory

Yeah, maybe when they're not on one of their 4 or 5 coffee/smoke breaks or on their hour long lunch, or on an extended bathroom break, or off sick with a hang nail...!!! And for the record... I speak of Americans and Canadians alike! :Big Laugh
  13. iFactory the very first look at the Apple factory

For those Canadians that want to watch this... http://www.iphoneincanada.ca/iphone-news/watch-abc-nightlines-ifactory-inside-apple-on-youtube/ My opinion (as if it matters!!).... Over 3000 people were lined up to get a job at Foxconn. I didn't see anyone forcing them to apply. Look at the...

  15. l25500 banners

You are absolutely right there... it certainly does help! I think the main issue here though is edge curling which I would bet my left nut is caused by the heat. I think it's the wrong banner material for this printer!
  16. l25500 banners

Based on what you're describing, I would definitely say it is the banner material itself giving you the grief. I can understand the lead edge curling a little, as most rolls of banner material are reverse wound. That's an easy work-around on loading, but you're obviously getting a lot of edge...
  17. Hello From SoCal

Welcome from Calgary, Alberta! :Canada 2: Excellent introduction you made! :thumb: Although I've never heard of the Thermal printers you mentioned... there is nothing wrong with Thermal Printing! I purchased a Gerber Edge FX (THERMAL) printer (with Envision plotter) a few years back and I make...
  18. l25500 banners

What kind of banner material are you running? I've not had those issues at all. Just ran 7 banners this week, all 3' x 12' on 42" material without any incident. Those were run on a local suppliers' house brand that I realized I had sitting around here since 2009! Ran flawless. I also run...
