Double your ram at least .. 1 gig is not enough for high res picture editing. Photoshop can take up allot of memory when working with filters at high resolution.

I will select Full Width Scan to either "enable" or "disable". This will make the cariage travel only over the printer area or ignore it and just travel...

Sounds more like you didnt set the basepoint like Kenny said. If its brand new chances are the errors you are getting are "user" related. Dont worry about it, wasting material is all part of the learning curve. Hope you're a fast learner :beer

My SC-500 has 4 pinch rollers and i recently tried MacTac's new line of digital print media and it did leave noticeable marks where the middle rollers are located. This has not hapened to me on other medias so i suspect maybee your prob is with the type of material you are printing on. Try...

I dont know if your doing this but it might help ... When i put in some vinyl to be cut i pull about half of the lenght of vinyl needed to cut what i am sending. Then track backwards to the begining. This is when you see how alligned your media is in the plotter.
