Be better/classyer to have them etched. I wouldnt expect vinyl to last long through a wash ... not just the soap and water but the heat as well.

A little 5 minute cleaning once a week goes a looooong way.

For me it was figuring out what caused and how to control banding issues ... Learning about photo resolutions and how the final output looked compared to the picture on the screen. After a few months when you start having drops of ink on your prints or missing colors you start learning about...

I have the same monitor at home. I love it for watching DVDs or playing games. I'm not convinced on bringing it to the shop for designing though. I work allot with Illustrator and Photoshop and this monitor i found the edges to be glowing a bit. If i sit at a certain angle, the top of the screen...

I dont know exactly why production manager would be resizing your file (its reading some other info besides your dpi settings, happens to me sometimes with certain pictures in Flexi ... rarely though) But your resolution is to high. Printing at 100% your file should be in the 72 to 125 dpi...

I personally like the idea of having only 10 entries. It seems to spark more interest for some reason ... Also .. If everybody joins in on the same project .. there will be less interest for the next contest. Its also a nice surprise aspect to divulge the project after the 10 contestants have...

I log on to Signs101 while im in the shop. So if you want to know how much time i spend at my shop, its the same amount as i spend here. I'd say over 60 hours a week.

Your ATI card has support for dual monitor setup. I dont know if you can just add another video card and slap on more monitors (i doubt it). but it will not be SLI (because thats for Nvidia) and your motherboard does not support Crossfire (neither does your ATI card).

SLI is for Nvidia based cards. ATI has it called Crossfire.

From the info i quickly read, i wouldnt be ready to say goodbye just yet. The technologie doesnt seem to be adequate for agressive exterior inks. Looks like the nozzles are quick to dry up. Also with the speed at which it can print it would require a verry powerfull computer to send the data to...

I have a tv tuner card in one of my pc's at the shop with a satellite dish hoocked up to it. Love to work late and have a hockey game playing or on some days i just have CNN playing on it .. (CNN is no good nowadays with all the election crap going on.)

Whats the motherboard's make and model? The manufacturers website should have information on what type of memory is compatible and how/which slots can be used.
