  1. Need Help Epson s60600 banding/missing nozzle

Is this something a tech is needed for, or could it be DIY?
  2. Need Help Epson s60600 banding/missing nozzle

Wow that's crazy, for $3,800 they should do more. Is the tech coming back? Did you run the printer long enough for him to see the issue before he started doing any work? After he finished did you do the same long print test to see if the issue was corrected? In my case they replaced heads...
  3. Need Help Epson s60600 banding/missing nozzle

I have the same issue with an s80600. Machine is 3 yrs old now, first noticed this happening about a year ago, right before my 2 yr warranty expired. For me I noticed it mostly when printing wraps, and especially if there were large areas of solid colors. Issue wouldn't start at the beginning...
  4. Epson 80600 error code (1931) heater

Never had this issue on our s80. Do your heaters heat up?
  5. Question When to laminate?

Fading prints is much more dependent on your ink than the grade of vinyl you are using. Laminate always adds UV and scratch resistance. Higher grade vinyls don't shrink and crack as quickly as lower grade vinyls, that's the main difference.
  6. Font ID Please

Montserrat is really close, except the R. Any other ideas on what font the R is?
  7. Font ID Please

Can't figure this font out. Anybody know it?
  8. Suggestions Epson 60600L or Epson 80600L

I prefer the S80 because of the light black ink. Makes a huge difference when comparing side by side with and s60 on any print with grays in it. And the red and orange inks make a big difference too, very vivid reds and and oranges. S80 is about 30% slower than the s60 but still much much...
  9. Best CNC for aluminum signs?

For foam, I could use whatever, a few of my uncles happen to be in the foam/upholstery distribution business. Map is actually south up, but we can call it north for ease. To the East (right) is nothing, some woods and a creek. So directing the noise that direction would be ideal if outside...
  10. Best CNC for aluminum signs?

My neighbors office is right at the northwest corner of my building, I don't want to put the pump there if it's just going to be loud for them. Really not liking my layout options with the CNC in the new addition. Also considering this layout(attached), spinning the CNC room to front load. If...
  11. Best CNC for aluminum signs?

Yes the pole is a column, can't move it. Attached some better mockups. Considering putting the CNC in the new shop, will be much easier to put the pump outside there, nothing around it. But noise level for the vehicle installers, and myself in the office is my concern with this. Along with...
  12. Best CNC for aluminum signs?

I meant to say, distance from walls would be to the gantry for the sides. A question I have is does it matter which side of the table you would load from? Attached a rough idea of what shop layout could be after the addition, and if we put a cnc router in. The dirty side of the shop, where...
  13. Best CNC for aluminum signs?

So would building a room for a router in the corner of the shop, where the back of the router is 1-2' from the wall, right side(when standing at front looking at the back) is 3' from wall, front is 3-4' from wall, and the left side is 3'from the wall, but this wall has a 6' double door on this...
  14. Best CNC for aluminum signs?

What would you say the smallest room you would want to build for your router table be? Also, how big of a deal to load sheets onto the bed from the side rather than the front or back, having to rotate the sheet 90* as you put it on the table? The 80x40 we are putting up is mostly for vehicle...
  15. Best CNC for aluminum signs?

Robot arm seems like it would work, but I don't think I want to go down that rabbit hole? They won't go for anything less than aluminum, not even ACM. The netting is for batting cages, driving ranges, etc. anything with a net really. I have plans to the city right now, hoping to get approval...
  16. Best CNC for aluminum signs?

That's for 2,000 8"x4"x.040" aluminum. orajet 3551/ 290 laminate mounted to aluminum before cutting. Each sign gets (4) .5" radius corners and (4) 3/8" holes, total of 8,000 corners and 8,000 holes. Takes us about 40 hrs to mount prints to substrate, shear down, punch holes, round corners...
  17. Best CNC for aluminum signs?

This is great thanks. Attached a copy of a single sign and our current print file. I was thinking something similar for a jig that lets the finished pieces "fall" into it's spot after it's finished cutting, what you described makes sense. What if you were to double up your vacuum supply and...
  18. Best CNC for aluminum signs?

So currently it takes us about 40 hrs of labor to complete an order, including mounting prints to 8'x4' sheets with flatbed table, probably only 3 hrs there. So pretty close time wise. I hear what you're saying about the pieces moving around after they are cut. I wonder if it would be...
  19. Best CNC for aluminum signs?

It's not so much the shearing part that's a drag for us, that goes quick. It's the holes and rounded corners. I've been having this debate with myself for years now. On these 2,000 sign runs, each sign gets 4 holes and 4 corners rounded, that's 16,000 punches. We do have a decent setup, air...
  20. Best CNC for aluminum signs?

The shop sabre, does it come with the camera or is that an add-on? Website is kind of vague, but the pricing looks intriguing.
