  1. favorite fill?

Fred's tiles are pretty darn good. Easy to use and high rez. Don't have Vol. 2 yet, but will someday soon.
  2. Wow What A Virus

Sorry for the experience you had. Maybe keep your "mission specific" machine for work only. Email, movies, fun surfing, on a laptop separate.

That price is certainly cheap enough.
  4. old roll of film in the drawer

Have a t-shirt that says Morning Wood Campground. With "pup tents", if you get my drift.
  5. Used sign cabinets

Have you tried electrical sign shops? They always seem to have quite the "bone yard" of take downs, buy backs, and repo's etc.
  6. Does my Roland have a problem ?

Photo a little out of focus but it appears that the heads are printing fine. (what I can tell) No ink on the sides of the heads, I didn't know that signalled a problem. I'll await some of the replies from techs.
  7. what is it worth

A single head for that printer is about $965.00. (there are two) Many other consumable parts are $100-300. Some you can install, others you will need diagnostic equipment and some help. (boards are obviously a lot more) You can also make huge blunders and destroy the motherboard and other...

Grrr....Tearing out my hair on this one. Printing clear static cling. Two color. Foil Gold and Black. (see attached) Can't get the black to completely overprint the gold. I've downloaded all 14 pages on this topic. (and read them) Seems like it should be a simple thing. Don't want the...

  14. All you font id experts

Here's one. It's familiar, but check out the six. It looks different.
  15. SP540V print problem

Perform a search on this forum. I think someone even posted some photos at one time. At any rate the job's not hard to do. Just work methodically. And don't scratch the strip when cleaning it. Use a cloth, not a paper towel. Keep fingerprints off of it too. Re-install. You should be good...
  16. Hello From Wisconsin

Welcome to the forum from the Great Pacific Northwest! Not totally sure this would work, but if practicable, I think I'd experiment with something called Dura-Coat Enamel Receptive. It's a milky, waterbase liquid which dries clear and very fast. Roll it on with a fine nap roller like a foam...
  17. to the sign painters

Can't imagine doing this in paint, but roller coat background red bulletin enamel. Make pattern for white text. Blue your One-shot white just a bit for maximum coverage. Possibly get by one coat. Follow up with black outline.
  18. Window perforation laws & regulations

That's the theory I've been working under here in Washington state.
  19. Customers doing it themselves.

If a former client is determined to make their own signs and wants expertise on how to do it, about the only way you can make any money with this guy is inform him of your consulting fees. Say, $125.00 per hour?
