  1. Your Opinion of Seamless Texture Tiles

ProWraps, what does this exactly mean? How can the resource (the artwork) be against the use of itself?
  2. This makes me sick to my stomach

I understand the emotion here, but I think a lot of people are being hypocrites. For example: If the guy down the street started selling gas for a buck under the "going rate" how many of you would run down there and fill your tanks? Would you care about his competitors? Guys charging enough...
  3. Your Opinion of Seamless Texture Tiles

After reading thru the posts, I've come to the conclusion I'm different than a lot of guys. For one, I run a production shop. For me that means laying my hands on a fill, a piece of clipart, whatever....as fast as I can. I much rather invest in a thousand images that I can easily browse than...
  4. Anyone else having trouble with Versaworks 4.1.1

Thanks. I've talked to a Roland tech and he says almost for sure the file was corrupted somehow in the download. So what I'm doing now is re-installing VW 3.0. From there I'll go to 3.02 and then to 4.0. (via downloads from Roland) It's just that the darn upgrades are taking 1.5 hours each...
  5. Anyone else having trouble with Versaworks 4.1.1

At launch today Versaworks asked to download the latest upgrade. Now all .tif files sent to it for print are displaying really wierd. All lines and mishapen. Eps files display and print fine. What has happened? I've re-started the computer. I've restarted Versaworks both to no avail. Ideas?
  6. STRIPE designs for peterbuilt tractors

You might try Aurora's Millenium edition.
  7. Attention comics, comedians, jokesters, pundits and wits.

Maybe something relating to "roof". Like "let us put a roof over your head".
  8. Attention comics, comedians, jokesters, pundits and wits.

That one's got some real potential. Let me excogitate on it for a while.
  9. Attention comics, comedians, jokesters, pundits and wits.

We're wrapping two Smart cars for a property management firm. (the layout is attached). But the client has asked me to put something "funny" on the roof. Something that would seem funny to a guy who's tall enough to be looking down on it. I have no ideas. It would really be great if it...
  10. Critique please

Yeah, I agree. But the body contours are such that there isn't much room elsewhere. Maybe I could leave it off altogether. He did say he wanted it on the back, but didn't specify the sides.
  11. Critique please

You know, it's funny you say that. The client was here not more than 18 hours ago and wanted me to do that. The actual font has the "leg" of the "r" coming down quite a bit more. But he had me "bob" it off at the height of the "s" and the "a". What's a guy to do? (one of the women in his...
  12. Critique please

    Ooops! Here's the artwork.
  13. Critique please

We've got the job to wrap two smart cars for a property management firm. We developed the little "logo" (which they like) from clip art and text. They don't want a lot of stuff on there other than the "equal housing" logo and their slogan "where good renters find great homes". One vehicle is...
  14. So tired of customers not realizing the value

John1, keep putting out the best work you can. Especially if you're in a small town like we are. I've actually had clients tell me that they wanted a sign made by us, but had to "settle" for the ABC sign company. When things get better they'll buy from us. I guess that's a compliment...
  15. Prices Slashed on Plotter Art™ Collections

Just ordered Seamless Texture Tiles Volume 2. Thanks Fred. H*ll of a deal!

Do you Google? Incidentally, hi from the Pacific Northwest. Welcome to the forum.
  17. Firing a customer....Mixed emotions.

Seems to me, just me, that you're overly hung up on something that's clearly none of your business. If your job is to create a logo, then do so from the cards you've been dealt. How he arrived at that corny business name is not relevant. (not discounting the things you say about marketing...
  18. How much do yall charge for printed stickers?

Are these stickers for outside use? Indoors? With laminate? On cheapy MacTac paper stock? Hi-grade? You really aren't supplying enough info. But I'm not sure you'll get a lot of specific responses here.
  19. Upgrading to Windows7 64 bit

UPDATE! Just got off the phone with the vendor who sells me my software (Gerber Omega) asking about upgrading to 4.0 and he said if you run the 64 bit OS, your older Edge and older HS_15 plus cutter will not work. There's currently no patch to make it do so. Whew! So I guess I dodged a...
  20. Upgrading to Windows7 64 bit

Terry, are those 64 bit or 32 bit OS's?
