    Examine the heads closely. Real close. My bet is there is a whisker of lint. Probably from the banners themselves. It acts like a wick. Grabs ink from the heads and when it collects enough, it drops ink in droplets. Just a guess. Happens around here all the time. Especially with banners.

  14. new ink cartridge printer says its near end??

    My printer is not a JV3 but maybe there is something similar. In my RIP program (versaworks) there is a menu item called "printer status". In that dialog box you can "refresh" or maybe it says "update" ink status. That should let the printer "read" the inks remaining. Try that?
