Is there a difference in formulation between GS3 inks and GS3 3M MCS inks? Epson's website doesn't say that the ink is any different, just says that it carries the warranty if you've done the program. I'm guessing it's the same ink, just pay extra for the warranty? To the original question...

So does G Mode make everything actually go faster or does it decrease time by traveling less distance? Or maybe some combo of both? If it actually travels faster, then yea I would think it would add ware? We don't run the plotter at max speed anyway..

So are there any trade offs or dwonside to activating G-Mode? We got an s2T160 2 months ago and haven't activated it yet. Like do you get less accuracy because it reads faster? I guess I just don't see why it wouldn't be set in G mode by default unless there is some sort of trade off?

We recently made (1000) 6"x4"x.040" aluminum signs, (eco solvent printed orafal 3551/290 gloss). Packaged them in sets of 25, and sealed in polybags, and then packaged (10) sets of 25's into cardboard boxes to make boxes of (250). Got a call today that the signs are all sticking together...

In my first post I referenced changing the white ink limit to 400%. That was wrong it is the white ink density. Different profiles have this number set differently. If you increase the number of passes the ink density number decrease. Can somebody explain the relationship here? Seems to...

Update: It appears that the warranty only reduces to 6 months for labor, and remains at 2 years for parts if you forego installation and training. So not as big of a deal IMO. Anybody know if there is anything magical about this machine that would requrie install and training?

Thanks everyone for your feedback. We are going forward and purchasing one of these. Was just informed that if we forego installation and training ($1,000) that the warranty from Kala reduces from 2 years to 6 months. Probably going to just bite the bullet and pay it for the warranty. But...
