Boppsy Pickle Ears. LOL Hey Gino can I use that? I'm calling dibs unless you're gonna trademark it or sumthin'.
  2. painting raw aluminum- what to use

Right now I'd be lying if I tried to tell ya. I have a friend that sells SW auto paint and he mixes only what I need. Last batch of DTM primer came ready to shoot in a plain container. Boy I'm a big help aren't I? (absolutely useless today when it comes to remembering)
  3. I love 3M.

Odd comment. IMO If you buy a massive amount of anything from me I could care less if you set fire to it. Asking for client names is going way too far.
  4. painting raw aluminum- what to use

Sherwin-Williams auto paint makes a direct to metal primer that works well. I can't remember the P/N though. I'm sure there are others.
  5. Publish to PDF question!

When I save files into PDF I always check Press Quality and uncheck fast web view. You can also access sub menus and set a default save parameter to control PDF output.

They aren't satisfied with what they have and want more. Just like the rest of us. Simple business. Problem is they have the wherewithal to crush the market if so desired.

Have you forgotten about their collusion with automotive dealerships?
  8. Looking into buying a roland soljet sc-500

No experience with that particular model, but we run a Roland with the Max inks.(forgot to mention that) The ink itself holds up well enough, but anything going on a clients vehicle gets laminate. Period. You never know what chemicals the graphic will encounter or what they use to wash the...

  10. Should you UV laminate window perf?

I spray perf with S-W Kut in Clear. We do a lot of rear windows and there have been no issues.
  11. Looking into buying a roland soljet sc-500

The only things we don't laminate are short term decals/bumper stickers, indoor use products, banners and perf. Lamination is necessary for any print you want to hold up outdoors. Only exception is short term outdoor advertising.

  15. Gerber M Series Flatbed Cutter Video

Slick piece. But every time I heard him say Gerber I thought strained prunes.

Thanks for the input Letterman7 and Woolly. I figured the reducer will eat the vinyl so I wouldn't add any. Just hardener/activator. Would probably still have solvent pop issues if I tried to dome.

Any issues with the RDS yellowing outdoors? I do some restoration work on boats and can't afford call backs.
  18. Colorific..............................

With a whiz bang name like Colorific it has to be good.:Big Laugh I use OEM after my 3rd party ink debacle. To the people that claim their ink "is just like" blah blah blah.. I tell them prove it. Warranty my heads in plain language and in writing. Guess what? No takers. Everything with...

IIRC they are 50g. I just checked and the foil pouch doesn't list weight.
  20. Doming

Ha, small world. I've been getting carts from Development Assoc. Stuff isn't cheap and I hate popping the seal if I can't use every drop. That's why I posed the clear coat question. I'll check RDS. Looks like I'll have to play mad "signtist" with my idea. Could be a major headache though.
