Lindy if you read the flute direction as what the direction you want the flutes to run as seen on finished sign. Horizontal flutes run with the text and vertical flutes run perpendicular to the flutes! If they were asking you the flute directions per your size, what you filled out on the form is...
Did you have any dimensions on the artwork file?
Look at the first two photos you have in the first thread. It says to run flutes horizontal and that you dimensions are 24"w x 18"h! How would someone know that you rotated you image when the dimensions you gave do not match the image?
The flute direction that you chose said you wanted horizontal flutes! That first screen shot says which way you want the flutes to run! I has nothing to do with the size of the marerial!
The seal created by the outer rubber seals the head and the sponge holds some of the ink to keep this environment damp (humidified) this is one of the reasons that you can not let these sit too long without printing or running a cleaning cycle.
The outer rubber seal of the cap top is to seal against the non-printing surface of the head, nothing but ink should come in contact of the heads printing surface other than the wiper when it wipes the head momentarily.
Did you have a written contract with the awning company?
Also what was your attorneys advice to do with this awning company?
I was afraid something like this was going to be what turned out, hope that you can get this taken care of without loosing you business!
Do you print daily?
If your answer is yes then this is not normal. There is a leak in the ink supply system some were. I would have them replace all the lines and fittings!
