If you don't have a big squeegee just apply transfer tape to your white vinyl and use a regular squeegee. Just break the sheets down into managable sizes if need be.
Off the top of my head I use Pantone 711c from Illy and it gives me a killer red. CMYK might work out to C=0, M=100, Y=80, K=2 depending on too many factors.
Try a high speed print with overprint x2.
Or even better, return to origin after print, and reprint.
You can get great reds with a...
Customer talked our shop into donating a 4x6' A-frame sign for their golf tourney, along with some other signs they paid for. So I was advised to make this thing as cost effective as possible. Two full color prints applied to 4x6 white corex sheets. Spent $12 on 3 hinges, screws, and 3...
The worst is when I get a letter sized document .pdf that is somehow over 10 megs, all vector. Opening it in Illy, I find it has hundreds of thousands of paint splatter marks, just clipped off all sides of the document. All for one liitle paint splatter on the darn thing. And of course it's a...
We do stuff like this pretty often. You want to make something that is easy to update. We use two methods, Cut vinyl on Sintra panels: This involves the customer bringing in the entire sign panel/s for vinyl removal and update. Or: you can do each record slot as a seperate detachable substrate...
Used MEK on vehicles without a resprorator multiple times not knowing what I was doing. Even got MEK in my eye one time. Stuff is harsh but works great.
LOL, where I work I have to mount 4x8' prints dry with a standard squeege. This requires calling in a co-worker to squegee the 6 inches I can't reach, while another holds the print.
I was actually quite happy with the $350 I got for that job. Cut the letters out of some old plywood I had laying around. Hand drew them all from cards that the business said was Areyall or some corporate junk. Painted them with two coats of Krylon Silver. All the lights ran about $40 and I had...
I use an old blurry CRT for all of my design work. It kinda sucks, but the computer and/or monitor do not make the design. I still don't understand how a calibrated monitor can match a printed color swatch. The swatch is only illuminated by whatever lights are in the room. The monitor is the...
I would build this file in Illustrator, in Adobe RGB1998. All cmyk files should be opened in photoshop, have the embedded color profile read and converted to Adobe 1998. Now check the background color to ensure it is actually true white color numbers, or whatever color background your main file...
