poles-thru or not, doesn't matter BUT they are both two different types of construction.
something that big would definitely require an engineer's-stamp, whichever way you go about it:
poles "not-thru" requires match-plates welded to poletops/bottom of sign, bolted together at time of...
my machine wiggled a lot, prior to realizing that you can lock the wheels it sits-on.
now, it still wiggles but only slightly. just make sure all of your assembled parts are tight/snug & lock the wheels and you should be fine.
spray77 can get messy, but it should last.
best long-term outdoor fix, however, would be to finish-off with some clear laminate... applied to the graphic, and wrapped-around/tucked underneath whatever you can.
polyester theory debunked, as I have printed on Avery Chrome wrap vinyl just fine as well.
+1 to anything with a slight texture will print great. still, I have yet to find a material that I cannot print on the HP26500. ...only issues being buckling/warping of lesser-grade vinyls.
most of the banners we do are donations ...and keep coming back every year for donation date changes.
started-out by using vinyl to remove/replace, but that becomes tiresome. printed patch simply slapped-on over the existing is the way to go!
...just make sure you have a setup file ready to...
similiar thread to this, recently, and the best theory was ice damage similiar to glacial erosion but on a smaller scale. Freezing water traveling down and across the back of the van, freezing and expanding into strings/sheets of ice, and gouging the vinyl.
last I remember, these things move at about one vertical inch per hour on an 18" cubed printer. not very fast at all.
good luck finding ways to make this a sign shop item anytime soon.
if you REALLY want to offer your clients 3D printed products, there are plenty of outsources available with...
$60/hr minimum, but its up to you to determine actual design time allotted and value of said design.
Its easy to sit there and play all-day on layouts, but if the client isn't excited about paying $500 for a proof-sheet on a small project then you're just wasting time and money.
We usually...
messing with dampers can be easy, or result in another can of worms if you break the adaptor on the manifold.
soak the heads, clean your printer thoroughly, flush system with cleaning cartridges, and refill with ink. starting "fresh" is a great way to begin diagnosis.
try a sample. apply a sticker to a pot of boiling water.
increase your odds by only using cast materials, to avoid shrinkage/curling. could very well slide-off the truck over time like a pickle on a glass window, but it could work just fine.
at the very least, you should make sure to...
