  1. Client wants Spray Painted words on painted brick

I really don't think a mask is the way to go on brick. Even painted brick. Pouncing is not that difficult, G-Artist gave you pretty succinct instructions. Also, if the building is in some sort of historic district, there may be specific rules against using any type of vinyl on it.
  2. Favorite Quote from a Customer Today

Mine was from me yesterday. Customer, CD in hand: "Can you read Mac files?" Me: duhhhh errr (drooling) No, I can't. Sorry. Customer: Do you have brown vinyl? Me: No, it took me 10 years to get rid of the last roll I bought.
  3. Coroplast life outdoors?

Colors like red start to fade in about 1 year. I have seen a corosign used out by the road which was splashed with salt, it literally looked like it had a bad case of worms. Coro can degrade until it is just ribs. It can also warp in the heat. Coro is a temporary substrate. Anyone who would...

  7. Client wants Spray Painted words on painted brick

Or use a projector and draw it on, then paint with a fitch. Spray painting would be a disaster (think of the overspray even if you do get paintmask to stick to a brick wall) You can also pen plot and use a pounce wheel to make a pattern. I would suggest using Ronan paint. Love....Jill

  11. Critique my beer logo.

It looks like it's trying real hard to be a beer logo but fighting with itself. Berwick reads weird to me. I think the shape needs to be broader horizontally, and BERWICK BREWING all together. Then drop the ribbon down so it's not covering the beer mug, and put the tagline in the ribbon. I...
  12. Logo layout. Let me know what you think

If you lost the background and multiple outlines it will look a million times better. It lacks contrast, and if someone can't read it, it's ineffective. Love....Jill
  13. Need suggestion for a car show sign with stand

I would use an 18"x24" .063 blank, no stand whatsoever. Flood coat the blank with vinyl in the color to match the car, or better yet, have it sprayed with automotive paint. These things should look classy, not tacky. Usually the customer sets them inside the open hood of the car, or lays them...
  14. How to remove gold leaf?

If it's not clear coated, Rapid Remover might work. I use that when I get an "oops" (you know, when gold sticks to the substrate where you didn't want it to go and of course when you try to rub it out, it turns to a brilliant mirror-like finish) Be very careful if using Easy-Off, it can...
