Nope, just weeds out the tire kickers. Clients are welcome to come to the shop and look all they want. Besides if they don't like you or your portfolio you aren't working for them anyway. If they want a comp to take with I get paid. Too many crooked folks out there with zero disregard for...
Grandpa had a pocket watch. One day it quit working so he tried to fix it. As I watched over his shoulder he gently pried off the back. A little bug fell out and he said: "No wonder it stopped the engineer died".
Quite easily done. It is called hiring a sub with the proper equipment. Ever mess with dies? They use these things called "rules". A scalpel is dull by comparison. Don't even go there.
As a rule nobody gets anything unless I get paid. The other thing is when I do send out a comp(electronic) it has our logo blazed across everything at 10% opacity. Image is also flattened and low res. You would have to be really good with PS to get rid of our logo. It is the way I work and...
We only have one laminator. By the time I would get the laminate out of the way and set up the print to run through the laminator I can be done with a BS. Gotta factor in the wasted laminate and time re-webbing the laminator too. This falls into the NVA category which we try hard to eliminate.
Another thing to try is the Blend tool in Illustrator. You can make flawless gradients and blends by using the Smooth Color option. My college instructor taught me that one. He said using the gradients that come with some software can cause issues at times.
Cool project. Wish I could have gotten my dad and brother involved when I built the Ranger. BTW how do you like your single post lift? I had looked at them, but didn't know anybody that had one.
We use our Big Squeegee to apply prints to foam core. No liquid whatsoever. Works without fail every time. Just takes starting off correctly and you're home free.
No awning section so I posted here. Are there any to the trade awning shops in the upper mid-west? Or a recommendation of a reputable shop that isn't 1500 miles away. I'm in Packer football country.
Holy Cow! Look at all the responses. Methinks I have started a firestorm. Anywhooo....We sent an e-mail to the pub owner asking for the designers name. If she can't give us a simple name then I'll know something is rotten in Denmark.
Wow thanks for the responses. The logo is nice and fits the area well. Owner is on a shoe-string so a complete re-do is out. The whole situation is odd though. Logo gets designed and two large pan faces are done and put in a lighted 2-sided hanging cabinet. Back of brick building had...
Morning all. I will give you the Readers Digest version of the issue.
1) New pub needs new logo.
2) Designer does new logo.
3) Pub owner only has low res logo and wants to put logo on various items.
4) Our shop is contacted to do work, but logo in present state is useless.
5) Pub owner tries...
Don't care for the "laundry list" on the door. Phone number is difficult to make out. The rest is great. I would make the phone number the same font/colors as the BPS and move it onto the door. Put a website beneath ph. # also.
