Watched my sister go through carpal tunnel surgery twice. I feel for ya.
  2. Adobe CC not CS

"But its only $50 a month". I want to see how these same people feel when they are paying $300 to $400 because every bit of software they need is cloud based. Think about it. Windows/Mac OS, RIP, Windows Office, etc...adds up in a hurry. "But its only $50 a month".:ROFLMAO:

  4. Adobe - Finally

Well it looks as if we are the only two people here that noticed the elephant in the room. When the rest of the industry sees guaranteed monthly income it will all swing that way. Another thought I had is the loss of incentive for Adobe to be at the bleeding edge. Why bother when you are...
  5. Adobe - Finally

Cloud based is a scheme for guaranteed revenue. Why sell you software once every two or three years? Heck we'll just bend you over and make you pay every month. Yeah that's it! Personally I don't care for the wonders of "cloud" anything. You can say it's only 50 bucks for this or that but...
  6. Blown spark plug, never heard of it before it happened to me.

The true culprit is the extended tip plugs. They are a strange looking deal, quite long and weak. TSB's have been written and a host of specialty tools developed to deal with them. Google plug replacement for the 5.4, nasty.
  7. Adobe - Finally

I'll get the CS6 discs and that will hopefully be enough for many years. Time to start looking for software where I still own the discs. Got enough payments. And what about tax time? How do you write off your Adobe "cloud"? The one thing that has gone unanswered with all the "cloud" stuff...
  8. Building new Shop. Any Suggestions?

Another option to heat your shop is what I have in mine. http://www.spaceray.com/ Funny name, but they work a treat. Sealed combustion(explosion proof) Quiet and zero maintenance. If something were to go wrong the business end is the size of a bread box. Can remove it in a couple minutes...

  10. The power of Facebook and Twitter

Here is a life lesson: Just because you can doesn't mean you should.
  11. Help with Full Bleed on HP L26500

Full bleed is not possible with any roll fed printer I know of. Here is the flop. You want a full bleed banner 36" x 96". You print the 36" x 96" then trim at 38" x 98". This gives and inch for banner tape and hem. Properly done the banner will "bleed" to the edge. Savvy? Down and dirty...
  12. Imitation Gold and Krylon...........................

Go to your local auto paint store and have them mix and fill a spray bomb for you. My guy does it for about 10 bucks.
  13. Geekwraps Tools Saves the day!

Pretty slick. So the tools were super easy to use right out of the box?
  14. Laminating .040 Brushed Aluminum to Acrylic

Why go through all that trouble trying to stick two incompatible materials together? Acrylic and aluminum have very different expansion/contraction rates. Just buy DiBond or AluPanel with the brushed aluminum face. No worries.
  15. Need a machine to cut out our finished decals

For anything bulk, i.e hundreds of units I use a sub. Unless you are charging a fortune per unit you will have very thin margins. You eat up a ton of time processing too. Subbing out frees up time to lock down more work.
  16. Building new Shop. Any Suggestions?

With in floor heat don't cover the floor it just adds expense and hurts efficiency. Find a company that does concrete staining. It looks incredible when done and is easy to clean. They can even put your logo on the floor. Have a mason build up 4' with split face block then buy a garage kit...
  17. Flatbed cutter

Find your local waterjet shop and have them do it.
  18. When a $15 tote bag just won't do

Reminds me of my friends Snap-On cabinet. Was delivered on a flatbed truck and then carried into the shop via fork lift. It had a pull out step so you could get to the top.
  19. Versawork Quality Settings
