  1. Plotter suggestions?

Like Bob said, stick with a Summa or Graphtec and you'll get almost identical results...everyone is going to be loyal to brand they have. Stay away from Rolands...we went through a boatload of them. They don't track very well...I was always lucky to be able to cut 10' at a time. I'm...
  2. Ever have one of those moments....

Depends...if you've already finished what you got in bed for then a man just goes in there and proudly tears up the toilet.
  3. logistics for printing & installing 150 foot long banner?

man, sub that sucker out. I know you've got your own printer and all but think about it...that's an awful long print to run without one little hiccup. You get a streak, you get a head strike, you get banner that's not completely dry stuck together and you're screwed...you get to print it all...
  4. Check this out!!

Your post would take pages and pages to answer adequately. Your questions are vague, to say the least, and really show a complete lack of effort on your part to find any answers. Using the search function will show you that the "What kind of printer should I buy?" question gets asked almost...
  5. Ever have one of those moments....

I know a guy who works for the power company who keeps a roll of toilet paper, a bucket and some garbage bags in the bucket truck for emergencies. Apparently you can raise the bucket up all the way, do your business, and nobody can tell what you're doing.

  13. Universal Sign Logo

Create your own association if you want. Nobody is going to bother looking it up, nobody is really going to care. Throw an ISA logo on there....nobody cares. The days of professional organizations having any authority at all are rapidly dieing. There are far too many of them out there whose...
  14. How is business....

I'm with Flamey....things were BOOMING around here then just flat died. No transition at all...one week I'm can hardly get anything done because the phone rang all day, the next week I'm averaging five calls a day. I've probably got 30 orders in the shop right now and I think the biggest one...

  16. Ever have one of those moments....

When you're the only one working at the shop...you're at the counter with a customer and two more politely waiting...and suddenly you get that rumble inside that tells you that if you're not in the bathroom in 30 seconds you're gonna need a new pair of drawers? ...and you quickly make a lame...

That's awesome....print it and stick it! You're competing against a sea of advertising...you've got to make a statement if you want to stand out!
  18. Masking glass for sandblasting

I often wonder if people actually read the questions before offering answers around here. There are a couple of local glass companies that send me files to cut so they can blast. They're just etching the glass, not doing any deep carving....for that we use regular vinyl. I cut it in whatever...
