Might be worth having. That print head in there is pretty darn expensive to replace, I know that. Machine is useless to anyone who's without the operating software, Omega though. Looks like it might be a '95 model or so.

Bring it into your own Illy program, then export it from your Illustrator program but be sure to save it down to 3.0 or .88. Omega 1.6 doesn't import later Illy files well. Hope that helps.

It seems like you can't over-emphasize keeping your machine clean! Ours is running in a part of the shop away from other dust creating equipment, but still you've got to watch it. 10 minutes every Friday at quitting time. That's all it takes if you do it routinely.

SignWorks is probably on to it. Be certain, absolutely certain, you're not using the long clamps when you sheet cut. But by all means use this feature, that's what it's there for. No Box Knives!

My Roland's a year old, runs everyday. We use the sheet cut feature with everything we print. Just changed the blade for the first time in about a year the other day. Still have some from the original packet. They're not expensive and last a long time.
