Hey, from a Buckeye (formerly). Check the little washer under the knife. If it's fallen out it could be the culprit. It's the little neoprene? washer. If it's out it will make the blade lower into the toolholder by the thickness of the washer. I don't know, just an idea.

Sorry to learn of your troubles. Cleaning is super important and also running the machine in as clean an environment as possible. These machines are wonderful, but they won't take any kind of abuse on the print heads. My advice is to please try to run your machine once a week at the minimum...
