  1. temporary sign covering backlit

I forgot to mention that this sign is pretty old and not working. Whoever made the sign originally bolted aluminum angle iron to the back of the poly faces. They did this because the extrusions didn't have a slot where the sign face should slide through, so the angle irons are keeping the sign...
  2. temporary sign covering backlit

Looking for the best method of installing a 10'x5' coro sheet to a backlit sign. This is a temporary sign advertising office space, the backlit sign doesn't actually work as of now so no worries about the coro not being backlit. The existing sign panel is 3/16" polycarbonate. Was planning on...

  4. Where can I get these frames?

  5. Where can I get these frames?

Yea I have to check with the client on that. Trying to price this job out for a construction company. They supplied this photo of the signs to emulate, but I will be asking him if they need braille, and if they do then I will sub the whole job out. But I still am very interested in locating a...

  9. Gun threads

This hits the nail on the head. Strange how it is so easily overlooked... Or is it purposely left out of the debate by the ones who actually dictate the direction of the debate... For the most part everything said in this thread is regurgitation from what has been seen/read/heard from opposing...
  10. Who makes these?

Ok so I tried this company and they were less than helpful, basically complained to me how one guy screwed up their whole operation and they are trying to figure out how to run their router.. Does anybody know a good wholesale company that can make these signs, they are 54"x18" double sided...

  17. Is this an overlay?

had a customer email a pic of the type of window lettering they want. It appears that there is an overlay of clear on white offset about 1/16". Looks kinda good, gives some dimension. Does anybody do this? Is it white vinyl sandwiched inbetween 2 layers of clear? The customer said it was i...
  18. Printable translucent

We pretty much use oracal productcs exclusively, but I have noticed the 3850 looks a bit washed out, might have to try the avery. We are doing a couple 16'x2' backlits next week, they are green background and white lettering. Do you think these signs would look much better with green...
  19. Polystyrene?

What is a similar product in terms of rigidness that isn't as brittle and degradable? I've seen these signs before for outdoor use. Maybe they were acrylic?
  20. Polystyrene?

Is polystyrene much more rigid then sintra? I'm looking for a material that is similar to a credit card. Looking for good thin rigid plastic sign material. Also does it crack easily outdoors in cold weather? How easily does this stuff cut using a keen cut wall cutter. Thanks for any info.
