if you have a wide format printer, you should be maintaining it regularly despite how often you use it for production... that includes simply running occasional test prints to see if it is ready to roll whenever you need it to (or at least for the sake of cycling the ink & keeping the heads...

also, glossy media can affect the automatic printhead alignment feature. you might want to try a manual printhead alignment.

I use SuitcaseFusion, but haven't tried any other programs to compare it to. watch youtube videos on it, and you'll wonder why you've never had font management software before.

Zombie thread but it's overkill if u feel the need to wear a mask when operating a jv3, or any solvent printer, unless you're operating it in a closet. Get a carbon filter unit or exhaust out of your building.

RapidRemover/GooGone might do the trick better than soap, but would be wise to should stay away from exposed edges of the vinyl.
