  1. Printing on .40 streyne with Scitex FB700

This goes along with your other thread, I presume ?? What I have highlighted in red is what this game is all about. They want something you don't have and cannot produce currently due to someone else's stupidity. Therefore, either THEY come in and clean it, so they can sell what they think...
  2. What would you REALLY do if you had symptoms of Coronavirus?

I'm good. Didn't quite hit 70 yet, so to some on here, I'm still a whippersnapper.................... Besides, at least if I go into work while I'm sick, I can still make money, just hafta stay away from everyone. Last night I heard Bernie Sanders say........ if you're sick, you should go...
  3. Question A serious question..........................

That's exactly my predicament. However, I tried your suggestion and it worked swimmingly. Just hafta make a new folder to hold that stuff. Thank you Now, why is a computer nerd, who builds, fixes and knows the programs I have, not able to figure that out ?? Now, I'm still gonna pay him...
  4. Question A serious question..........................

I have Quickbooks on both my computers in my office here at the shop. The old one works on Windows 7, but now with Windows 10, it cannot create a .pdf. It's version 2011. We do not create invoices, just quotes and work orders and such. Our office has a 2019 version and it can do it on the...
  5. Question A serious question..........................

If he had billed me at 1/2 price, I'd be alright. I told him exactly what my 2 problems were and he said he could fix it. I've used this guy on several occasions and he never did this before. He's always been fair. I'm gonna pay him, that's for sure, but like mentioned, I'm gonna look for...
  6. Question A serious question..........................

Had some computer work performed by my local computer guy and had him in to fix two problems, which he said he knew my program. After 1.25 hours, he finally said, he's sorry, but he couldn't figure out the problem or how to fix it, so I was exactly where I was before he came in. I just got a...
  7. What would you REALLY do if you had symptoms of Coronavirus?

There are certain procedures you are supposed to follow, according to the news and the government. You're also supposed to get a flu shot and all kinds of other immunizations throughout the year. I don't do any of them. It would be hard for me to sit home and do nothing. Nothing about the...
  8. Lines on backside of window perf

Not sure, because all of the perf I've ever used is black on the back, so you wouldn't see any color on the backside, regardless of what you're printing on the other side.
  9. Anyone seeing a slowdown due to coronavirus?

I just heard they found 4 confirmed cases in the next county over from us. I tell you this, as I'm eating my egg rolls and fried rice lunch. :munchie:
  10. Difficulty Adhering after Rapid Remover

If you hafta quote the job, if the glass is facing south, add quite a bit on top, whether it's 2 years old or 15 years old. That is probably the biggest factor in removing vinyl from anything.
  11. Anyone seeing a slowdown due to coronavirus?

Maybe they just don't want chapped cheeks.
  12. A plane on a treadmill - physics question

Real question........ can you use his chin for a runway ??
  13. A plane on a treadmill - physics question

Thanks for the warning, but it won't apply........ not even in 20 years. However, there is another thing you overlooked. I really wasn't including you in the science fair equation. So, what you mistook for sarcasm wasn't directed in your direction at all. Sorry.........:flamey:
  14. A plane on a treadmill - physics question

Wow-wee !!! Seriously, some of you are in the wrong business......... entirely !!! Sounds like some of ya, should be into rocket science. You guys are amazing. What a waste 'y'all are making signs.:toasting:
  15. Difficulty Adhering after Rapid Remover

Personally, I don't use any chemicals to remove vinyl from glass, anywhere. A good razor blade will do it all. Same goes for any backlit surface. To clean any glue residue, I use the 91% isopropyl several times as I mentioned. With your method, you've got to get the remover off and that'll...
  16. Difficulty Adhering after Rapid Remover

Wash it 2 or 3 times with strong soap and water. Then, wash with 91% alcohol several times. Hand dry it. Don't let it air dry. Basically, your way, the glass is grossly contaminated.
  17. A plane on a treadmill - physics question

You're looking at this all wrong. Instead of a treadmill, we need a motorized buncha wheels/tires ON the landing strip. With their spinning capability, the plane could take off and land without wheels in the first place. Less fuel to power it up, less braking power as the wheels will brake on...
  18. A plane on a treadmill - physics question

I think this whole thing is for naught. I've never seen a treadmill big enough to hold a frickin' plane, .let alone go much over 15mph. Who in the heck is gonna make this humongous treadmill for Andy ??
  19. A plane on a treadmill - physics question

But if you had a helicopter or whirlybird, you don't even need a tread mill. You can use a milkbox.
