thanks for the input. much appreciated. i saw via some searches that some slowed the head speed down and for the life of me i couldnt find where i could change that. then while trying a few profiles (canned) and monkeying around i finally saw the head speed setting!

SO here's my scenerio. Can't seem to print Roland spot greys without terrible banding unless on HQ settings. if i uncheck the spot color tick it prints a beautiful NON banded blueish gray. its only spots. other colors print beautifully.

haha..i wish. reprinted this job no less than 5 times because the settings weren't right in VW or because the spot color was messed up ( all my fault but still )..can't seem to get it together today.
$6-8 per square no hem just grommets (obv if its outdoor i don't give them that option) $5-10 bucks for powertape.

6+ years and i've never changed a single part on my vp300. nothing. i had one waste line clog, one black ink issue with banding ( but the test print was perfect ). both i associate with 3rd party ink. i wasnt using the printer very much at all and i know that matters a LOT. but that brief stint...

it's acted and smelled like OEM. i think it's 100% legit. I used third party ink once (solaris) and it effed up my black head ( maybe i don't print enough i dunno but that sucked )... I like using my paypal slush fund to pay for ink, so I get it there.
I'm aware. Ive printed maybe 50 rolls of 3164, as I do a bunch of racecar stuff. Doesn't mean that I can't try another combination that's cheap and shrinks less.
