Change the dampers and o-rings. Even if there is no air in the lines, the dampers can still be failing and causing the issue. Bad dampers cause most of ink drop out issues during prints. I also wouldn't rule out pumps and cap tops as they can look like they are working properly but it is...
The company you are buying the ink from should know the conversion procedure. If they don't, that would be a red flag for me. Check out the Bordeaux brand inks for Roland. We have sold them for years with no issues and I hear great thing from users on Signs101 as well. Bordeaux does not require...
You need a new tech or, if he is new to the trade, cut him some slack but make him come out and fix it for you. Switching color configurations is a newbie mistake.
LOL! The beeping means the heaters have gotten up to the proper temp. That is why it seems so random. You have 3 heaters going up to different temps and it beeps every time one of them does. There is no way to turn it off from what I have found.
It also beeps when a cartridge is low or about to...
Sorry I got it backwards. I usually work from the front of the machine when describing where things are. From the front of the machine it is on the right side behind the panel.
The motor is located on the right side of the machine if you are facing the back. I've never had to change one and I service a lot of these machines. I've never seen that error before either.
Edit: From the back the motor is on the left side. Sorry got my directions backwards.
Doing it yourself Pros: Saves Money, You learn a little bit about how your machine works which helps for future fixes.
Doing it yourself Cons: It will take longer for you to do it than a tech, if you mess up you are responsible for the cost of more repairs
At Solventinkjet.com we will sell you...
Upload a nozzle check. Most likely the cap top needs to be changed as magenta is on the edge of the print head and is affected first when the cap top seal breaks. The bulk system adds a whole other set of troubleshooting that needs to done but normally this is a cap top issue. When was the last...
If environmental match didn't execute properly, the first thing I would do is run the service menu encoder calibrations. If they fail, your encoder strip might be damaged and not just dirty and your encoder sensor might be bad. If you replace the encoder strip and sensor and still get the same...
As a merchant member, I report every non-merchant member I see selling products to Fred and he takes swift action every time. The value of being a merchant member on this site is well worth the cost and it is in our best interest to help moderate.
Most likely a fuse blown. You are going to want to check your cables anyway to make sure whatever blew the fuse isn't going to do it again once you get it fixed. You might as well take the cables out, clean any debris or ink that may have fallen on to the cable leads or the terminals and then...
Usually I point my customers away from bulk to avoid unnecessary technical issues caused by bulk systems. That being said, I do recommend going bulk if you are actually going to use at least 1 liter per color per month. Obviously cost is the big draw to bulk but if you aren't going through the...
If you reset the NVRAM the machine is basically back to factory defaults. I'm not 100% on Rolands when it comes to what is stored in the memory but I am assuming when you start the machine is says Roland VS-??? on the screen. To get passed this mode all you have to do is run the limit position...
You're getting cross-contamination. Check your maintenance station to see if it is clogged. If you put cleaning solution into the cap it should slowly empty completely. If it does not, the station is most likely clogged. In rare cases I have seen this issue happen when the head is damaged...
It's a pretty common issue. If you go into the service mode and run all of the encoder calibrations and then run the environmental match in the user menu, that should do the trick. If it doesn't, you might have a bad encoder sensor and/or servo board. I would say 90% of the time I run into this...
Did you install the graphics card yourself or did it come with the computer? Recently I have noticed, to cut costs, computers that don't have a graphics card pre-installed have sub-par power supplies and can't handle the better graphics cards. Check the supply. It should be 400 watts or better...
Did you receive any error messages on the printer screen? It sounds like you need to adjust the sensor sensitivity. If you could explain or show pictures of how you are setting up the file, that would help as well.
You have a bad transistor on the main board. You troubleshot it perfectly and the transistor is the only reason left to suspect. I have seen this happen on these machines many times. See if you can find someone to fix the board for you. I would recommend someone but the guy we used to use is a...
Try:
Function > Common Setup > Information > List > Print
That should print out the info you need. If not, take a look around the information menu and it tells you all the information about usage.
