  1. Need Help Have never done this before..............................

Have never fabricated window graphics to be mounted on the inside of the windows and still be totally visible from the outside. Have always used perf or regular vinyl and mounted to the outside. They said it is a one-step process. No putting the vinyl on and then a blue backer piece. Here is...
  2. Vinyl Lettering Not Sticking to Spray Painted Bus Van

Don't waste your time experimenting. It's kinda easy to recognize a rattle can paint job. There is SOOoooo much overspray connected with this, the vinyl has nothing to adhere to, but the overspray itself and that just does not give enough surface for good adhesion. Tell the guy to either prep...
  3. Eco Solvent Ink Dryer

Basically, solvent inks are no different than solvent screen inks or solvent paint. It simply needs air movement. Set up a rack and put a fan on it and lay them flat, if you can, like a screen printers rack. We do it all the time, but not so we can laminate any faster, just to help cure the...
  4. Wanted - A Few Guinea Pigs for Testing

I wasn't going to say anything, but since the coloring was brought up..... the process you are using seems to age the person. She seems to have more wrinkles, deeper creases and her hair appears more greasy. Is that due to lack of control or not noticing ?? You're using a flesh tones and...
  5. Osama Bin Lauden

Here in PA, we have a license to carry. Mine is for concealed, so I can carry it anywhere loaded or not, in plain sight or hidden, unless the place otherwise restricts bringing firearms into the establishment. Some places, it goes without saying, but I don't always have my license on me. But...

    Yeah, like a notch...............

  8. Looks like Sports Illustrated has started doing their own graphics to save a buck

Well, this was a fun little exercise, but it seems as if they've been using that same backdrop for a number of years and the same bubbles are in it year after year. I guess the sign doesn't get much sun, huh ?? Wayne, I'm still trying to figure out what made you discover that ?? You must be...
  9. We don’t laminate our signs. Thoughts?

Back in '94, there wasn't much to laminate then. Most everything was done on small thermal printers and nothing really large enough for wraps, so it wasn't necessary for the most part. However, getting aboard the digital print game in 2011, he should've been guided/taught to use one. Sounds...
  10. Looks like Sports Illustrated has started doing their own graphics to save a buck

I'm having troubles seeing what's wrong......... ?????
  11. Good thing it's not summer!

    Got that right. !!!
  12. We don’t laminate our signs. Thoughts?

I'd be more interested in hearing why your boss doesn't laminate. Granted there are things which don't need it, but that's just an odd statement.
  13. UV printing on wood - white underbase suggestions?

That's a little high, but Harbor sells it for $81. a sheet. Be sure it is painted and not just primed. More and more places are no longer carrying fully painted. Here's another thought...... If you attach a 1/2" PVC sheet to wood or whatever..... you will have 2 entirely different expansion...
  14. Suggestions Yo Duško.............................

You'll do far better creating your own thread and asking for help, so not to confuse and hi-jack other threads which have nothing to do with your requests. Your posts are kinda random all over the place. However, if you're trying to sell your skill set to others on the site, you're gonna need...
  15. New Product Which Flatbed Printer to buy?

Hard to tell. Your profile says nothing about what you do and you haven't really mentioned what your needs are, other than you're gonna be printing to plastics. What's your normal volume ?? Do you need a particular speed ?? Do you want a true flatbed or hybrid ??
  16. Setting up Illustrator

I agree..... Corel is a far superior software program in all respects. Therefore, sam must be wrong, if he agrees with me. :iamwithstupid: Carry on with Illy.
  17. Help with new printer purchase

So, you wanna go down saying THAT IS NOT YOU or your company ?? Hmmmm...............
  18. Question How do you feel about this....................... ??

Okay, a little update. Last week, I got confirmation that the back ordered parts would be going out January 3rd. Got another e-mail yesterday stating they wouldn't be going out til after February 6th. My customer was already upset about the 3 week delay. I couldn't add another 4.5 weeks. so...
  19. UV printing on wood - white underbase suggestions?

Glantz, Harbor and probably many others. MDO stands for Medium Density Overlay. 1/2" complete painted sheet is around $75, I think. According to what your application is..... I have no idea if the other stuff will be a good choice. Just because something won't rot, does not make it a good...
