  1. CRAZY returning customer

I would think if you dismantled it to move it, you'd've made sure all the connections were still good after jostling it around. No bare wires or places for any wires to rub themselves bare. If you dropped your vehicle off to have the brakes replaced, he wouldn't be looking for other problems...
  2. CRAZY returning customer

He's right, you were the last one in there and evidently something wasn't hooked up or grounded properly when you left. It took a long time to take place, but unless you can prove someone's been in it doing electrical work, I'd get a hold of your insurance company right away. Judging by your...
  3. Roll your calendar back to 1975

Oh, it was most certainly an industry back then and all the way back to the 1800s. However, it was all done with eye/hand coordination. Back in the day, before my time, an air brush was used by spreading pigment on your canvas (medium) with a bellows type of hand held device.... or you could...
  4. Roll your calendar back to 1975

Well, we could discuss all the things back then from brush techniques to how to form or build a letter and the consistency of paint and whatnot, but the hot topics of the day were more about girls, what ya had to drink last night, what band are ya gonna go see this weekend or are ya going...
  5. Need Help Anyone Know What Causes This Print Issue?

Have you checked your encoder eye ?? But..... are you sure your heads are aligned properly ?? Encoder problems seem to make the thing print goofy completely, not double shots like that, but like mentioned, maybe it's one we've never seen before.
  6. Massive stencil needed, 25'x150' for roof top graphic

No one needs you to post or not post, if you are afraid to do so and get ripped apart for not knowing your business. No one here is about roasting you for trying to learn. There're plenty of other threads to read and be part of, but you asked for help with an attitude of you know diddly about...

Sooooo..... is it perfectly flat ??
  8. Massive stencil needed, 25'x150' for roof top graphic

Hahaaa...... til you did the layout, have it printed and not put any markup on it, you'd be well over 10k, before it's cut out, traced or even painted. How do you expect to make any money doing that ?? Question for the OP...... is this roof where the logo and copy are gonna go.... is it...
  9. cutter is shifting cut lines

Your machine.................. Nowhere does it say anything about paper. We do synthetic paper, but that has a backer on it. The other stuff, as mentioned is cut on a proper paper cutter. Paper is not considered "other specialty material". .
  10. Suggestions acrylic bending (heater)

Ours is many years old and it was homemade. It will bend 1/4" without any problem, just take maybe 30 extra seconds. The guy who made it, showed me how to do thicker stuff, but usually that will be much larger projects, so I have the vendor do it for me. We use it several times a week and we...
  11. cutter is shifting cut lines

I might be preaching to the choir, but the choir doesn't seem to be singing today. You need to illustrate to your boss what's going on, by showing him his loss in time, wrong equipment and explain to him what is happening and it's not really gonna get any better without getting either proper...
  12. cutter is shifting cut lines

So, you're making paper banners, so to speak............ Very seldom do we cut a paper product on any of our machines, unless there is a backer, to prevent this problem you are describing. All paper banners, signs or whatever...... regardless of size or how many are cut by hand or some sorta...
  13. Question VJ-1204 - Can you print on regular sign vinly?

I don't know how true this is anymore, but I was told and taught that while these machines will print on basically any vinyl, it is only meant to print on digital media for best results. Also, for longevity when using the correct vinyl with the correct profile. Something to do with the way the...
