  1. S120T How Do I Turn Off Origin Reset?

Tried scrolling through menus, Summa Cutter Control and looking at the manual to no avail. Just wanting the cutter to park the head without pulling back the sheet after it finishes. When using a cut that lets stickers and such fall out, the leftover webbing gets caught up in the rollers and all...
  2. WELD ON 4 Starting in FEB. Methylene Chloride: Regulation Under the Toxic Substances Control Act

Main thing is the fumes, skin contact is pretty rough as well. The stuff loves to evaporate, so getting it to stay in a syringe bottle is the trick in the first place. It's unlabeled because in 36 hours it'll be empty. :p
  3. WELD ON 4 Starting in FEB. Methylene Chloride: Regulation Under the Toxic Substances Control Act

Industry specific uses tend to still be acceptable, just how it's sold (no retail sale/display) and such, as well as some suppliers might stop carrying it. It's a crazy useful chemical used in tons of processes (I had to double check, since I am used to it being called DCM/dichloromethane), so...
  4. Right to Repair Act

Yup, I keep CA residents I can bug to get stuff like that. Usually they don't want to fuss and give access.
  5. Mimaki JFX 200-2513

Wow, that is pretty loose. Might have need a new chain stiffener, or a link might've snapped out of place. Check to make sure each link is clicked in properly. As for ink buildup on carriage, pretty typical, unless it keeps doing it a lot. Wipe it off and see how quickly it returns.
  6. Xante Printers—Ink Usage and Printhead Replacement

Inkcups printers look like beasts, however, I have yet to see one in person. Not sure how their US support is either, but OKC seems to be BFE for most printer manufacturers/distributors.
  7. Xante Printers—Ink Usage and Printhead Replacement

With any inkjet printer, the more you run them the better. Stagnation is the enemy, and the more uptime you take advantage of, the less of a pain maintenance becomes both financially and physically.
  8. need flatbed UV recommendation

But how many heads can you add? *stares longingly at the crate of 75 Gen5's*
  9. help... I had installed new tx 800 print head to my Chinese UV Printer, but no ink coming out

Lots of boards for those heads, so it really comes down to you putting in the time and checking. Seeing as it's a generic Chinese printer, good luck finding diagrams. Cheap machines are great, but the money you save is traded for time troubleshooting when things go wrong. Likely going to be a...
  10. Printing suddenly stops

Sounds like the media detection sensor might be doing something wonky, the roll has shifted, or maybe there's paper fibers or other stuff built up on it. Don't have service docs on Rolands, but a common issue that can happen on lots of printers. It's usually on the back side of the machine, near...
  11. JFX200 2513EX White Ink Pooling at head

This guy here, vacuum/pressure manifold for subtanks. Should be clear tubing running to pressure and vacuum lines, as well as the subtank on each of the heads.
  12. JFX200 2513EX White Ink Pooling at head

I would check the pressure/vacuum manifold and make sure that there isn't ink in it. Also might be a subtank, those are a bit notorious for going bad compared to the ones in the non-EX version. Only had my EX a few weeks, so still learning as I rebuild the thing, but it is basically a 3 headed...
  13. MIMAKI UJV55-320 Service Manual request

If you still need this, PM me and I can get you a copy. Took a bit, but found a copy for one I was fixing up.
  14. Need help getting a used Mimaki UCJV300 running again

Ok, time to knock these out. Gloss/Matte selectability is a great reason to add clear to color set. UV ink in general is good for metallics Losing Lc/Lm will result in a slight loss of color gamut, yes. Clear ink is ink without pigment, less likely to clog, especially compared to white ink. Not...
  15. Xante Printers—Ink Usage and Printhead Replacement

If you got room, snag a Mimaki jfx200 on the used market. Though, they have a bit of a footprint. For smaller, but still fast units, the UJF-6042 Mkii is pretty nice. 4 industrial 2 channel heads.
  16. Need help getting a used Mimaki UCJV300 running again

Yup, gonna need a keyboard for this one.
  17. Xante Printers—Ink Usage and Printhead Replacement

If you bought a Xante, I am sorry. Heads can last longer if treated well and probably to use fresh US made ink (less time in hot shipping environments, the better). Just make sure the ink is rated for an XP600 head. If getting heads, get them from Digiprint, they're WAY cheaper. Same with all of...
  18. need flatbed UV recommendation

If I can ever find a dang JFX200 that is actually dead, I want to put a new set of controllers in it to try the Kyocera heads. But the stupid things keep being easy fixes.
  19. What to buy: Mimaki CJV300 or Epson S30600

CJV is a bit of a fossil these days and cut/print units are dog slow. If going for new, probably much better off going for the CJV330 instead. Still, I would highly recommend a standalone vinyl cutter if doing serious volume of cutting.
  20. need flatbed UV recommendation

Ricoh Gen5/Gen6 heads are some of the best I have messed with when it comes to UV, followed by Kyocera and Toshiba.
