So I’ve changed dampers. I’ve got ink in all channels except the furthest right magenta I got nothing. Can barely get ink to the damper. I’ve burned through almost an entire set of cartridges doing ink fills. There’s gotta be a better way? What am I doing wrong. I’ve got yellow in that same...
Thanks for the info. No bulk system, Cap top drains. Now that the wiper actually touches the head it seems to take off all the ink even where it's set now, but ink seems to come out of the head immediately after the wipe. Fingers crossed these dampers improve something, they ain't cheap.
Ok I will adjust. Everything you read says not to touch heads so I'm surprised at the amount of contact a head takes from a wiper without causing damage? Do you have any thoughts on my possible damper issue? Is ink supposed to hang under the head like that? I ordered 4 dampers and they will be...
So I have a CJV150-160 I just bought used. The dampers were changed back in 2017. I am having an issue with missing nozzles on test prints only immediately after cleaning cycles. If I do a test print first thing in the morning after the printer has been sitting I get almost a perfect test print...
So I'm having a strange issue that I think is due to the wiper not wiping the head. The bottom test print was the first test after the head was parked in the capping station. The middle test print is after a 1 min nozzle wash and the top test is after a second 1 minute nozzle wash immediately...
I am using a profile for a different vinyl than what I'm printing on as there aren't a lot of es3 profiles .I can't find one for the orajet 3621 gloss I'm printing on. I see Flexi has a profile maker I may try doing my own profile next.
I've got a question about print quality. I'm new to printing as I've been outsourcing all my work up until now. I printed a billboard tonight on my cjv150 and have some horizontal lines showing. I ran media compensation and drop position adjustments. I used a 720x1080 6 pass? (I think) CMYK...
Thanks for the reply. I was wrong and my tube wash was set to 48 hours. Do you have any info on what the specific cleanings do and how much ink they use to complete. If I turn on cleanings should I have it set to soft, normal, ultra, hard?
Too late ha. I ended up just putting SS21 Chips on my es3 carts so I'll see how this es3 performs and then if I don't like it I can go back to SS21 later. I found one profile for a different Oracal Vinyl than the 3621 I regularly use and the print came out alright. What the deal with no es3...
Well my new to me CJV150 is here. I tried to do my first print but am having trouble communicating with my computer. Im running Flexi19 with a MacBook Pro running windows. I can see my CJV150 when I look for printers in windows. But after adding it in the production manager and doing a rip/print...
Just wondering if anyone has the steps involved in changing a CJV150-160 currently running SS21 ink to ES3 Ink. I have already flushed the machine but assume its not as easy as just putting in ES3 carts? Are there parameters that need to be changed?
Im having a hard time finding a Canadian supplier for Bordeaux inks. Has anyone heard or had experience with Marajet inks? Is the machine capable of running with 4 carts in a cmyk set up or do you always need to have 8 carts in the machine?
Thank you!. What are your thoughts on running Mimaki brand inks vs third party inks?
I've searched but can't seem to find any service manuals online. Are they available anywhere or does Mimaki keep that stuff out of owners hands so we use techs? I've been reading about inks SS21 VS ES3 from...
