  1. Letters on a waterfall?

Streaking is primarily due to acid rain, but I'm sure the aforementioned will also play a factor. I've also seen overspray from lawn chemicals causing issues...even for bronze. JB
  2. Letters on a waterfall?

Honestly, it's not the hardware you need to be concerned about. 304 stainless will not need a protective coating. This sounds like a very cool project, but before your contractor gets all gung ho, have them consider THE REAL POTENTIAL ISSUE: water hardness. Excessive calcium, iron and other...
  3. Letters on a waterfall?

Had a similar situation, but I pushed client for bronze lettering, painted black. Compared to bronze and stainless, aluminum is the most susceptible to streaking. OP- use 304 stainless, and you should be good. JB
  4. Waiting for apocalyptic rain and wind from Hilary.....

Amazing! You don't even need to use AI to find an apocalyptic wind from Hil(l)ary. Just sayin'. JB
  5. Ok, which one of you did this....................................................

It's been ongoing "sociology research" project. Some are difficult to avoid. I've always thought they looked more like pterodactyls...but yeah, when the collagen gives way anything is possible. JB
  6. Ok, which one of you did this....................................................

This is exactly what happens to that cute little butterfly tattoo when it's placed on the left or right un-unmentionable area. Just sayin'. JB
  7. Huh? Boy is now girl he/she?

    I believe it's really a hermie. JB
  8. Huh? Boy is now girl he/she?

I don't know, but it certainly isn't straight. JB
  9. Huh? Boy is now girl he/she?

Is there a disclosure stating that some parts of your house will forever and always remain cis-gender? JB
  10. Suggestions Cutting .04 aluminum

Get a tool especially for deburring the edges of sheet metal. It'll only take a few seconds to use compared to sand paper. The other style deburring tools are primarily designed for deburring holes, and they usually dig in on the edges of sheet stock. JB...
  11. Something fun for the rock garden... (I'll bet your CNC can't do this)

I've been at it 18 years. Like anything else, a lot depends on your teacher. Unfortunately, I had to learn on my own, so my learning curve was a lot more challenging and prolonged. Judging by the others I've assisted over the years, you could see tremendous progress after a year or two. A...
  12. Something fun for the rock garden... (I'll bet your CNC can't do this)

I've worked with CNC as a toolmaker since the mid 80s, and there's no way it could duplicate something like this. 16" River stone, reverse etched - approx. 3/32" to 1/8" depth. Sign vinyl stencil. Approx. 20 minutes blast time. I'm assuming roughly 90% of the stone's original surface was...
  13. Looking fo vinyl that will adhere to suitcase.

You don't mention if you're printing or just cutting, but if you want color, you'll need to print. https://www.convexvinyl.com/buy-convex/ https://substance.com/
  14. Looking fo vinyl that will adhere to suitcase.

Convex or Substance have numerous potentials. JB
  15. Font ID

Here are the numerals from Scarlet Script. Maybe give them a little more weight, and you should be good. JB
  16. Font ID

It looks pretty rigid for a script typeface. Letterhead Fonts "Scarlet Script" is slightly similar, but way more appealing. JB
  17. What's (really) in a name?

Of course not. "Locally" is an adverb (describes a verb) which should precede or follow a verb (describes an action). "Market" is a noun (person, place or thing). Unfortunately, many advertisers beckon their customers to "Shop Local"....bugs me to no end. The idea behind "pop-up" is their...
  18. When "your" customers get signage elsewhere

If you HAVE to ask, the conversation usually starts out "....My brother-in-law's sister's nephew has a vinyl cutter in his basement..." JB
  19. What's (really) in a name?

Thirty miles west of me, a new entity went into the building of a defunct grocery store chain. Instead of curiosity, the owners have been met with an onslaught of criticism by what "Food Lab" really means. As you can imagine, it conjures up the typical ideas of Franken-food, since we live such...
