La la la la la....la. JB
  2. Brick Sign estimate

Looks like somebody missed class the day they talked about baselines and descenders. Take a closer look. The "o" and "e"s don't even break the baseline. JB
  3. Brick Sign estimate

Sure, if you don't mind home-grown. JB
  4. Brick Sign estimate

Holy smokes! After looking at this for a while, I believe there's a cryptic message in there..... Welcome to Sign Needs Engineering And Design Services JB
  5. Brick Sign estimate

You bet. Sometime during the sign's lifetime, a drunk driver will be very thankful they're hollow. A side note... On a real quiet night, you'll be able to hear Mike Stevens crying over this one.... JB
  6. Business evaluation

Open their books a bit wider. What liabilities do they have (that you'll inherit with the purchase)? JB

  8. Party time...

Uh oh, AI informed me there's two glaring typos. This, of course, renders the tickets null and void. Gnubler and Learjet. Ok, so I lied. It wasn't AI. JB
  9. Did anybody else get a Signs 365 surprise?

"We hold these truths to be self-evident..." Ignorance is already bad enough. Let's hope AI doesn't further complicate things. JB

  11. Did anybody else get a Signs 365 surprise?

Back in the early 70s, the Exchange Club placed "Freedom Shrines" in many of the public schools. Does anybody remember them? It was essentially a collage of the DOI, Constitution and many of the early supporting documents of our government. Sadly, they're being tossed out in light of the...

What's not to like? Asking for a friend. JB
  13. Amish circular saw....

Or is it a hole saw? I'm fairly certain they also make a right-handed version, but don't quote me on that. JB
  14. Did anybody else get a Signs 365 surprise?

At first glance, I thought FedEx had delivered a double set of large pizzas. But wowzers, was I ever surprised. I'm sure they spent a shiny dime (or two) sending all those out. JB
  15. Never made a name plate for office wall mounts before. Any Ideas?

Sandblast etched duranodic bronze looks really awesome, and is very easy to accomplish...even with a cheap Harbor Freight blast cabinet. JB
  16. Ink receptive vinyl - what makes it so?

They use very big words, but the photos helped me understand. Thanks, JB
  17. Ink receptive vinyl - what makes it so?

I'm curious as to how the surface of ink receptive vinyl differs from vinyl that isn't ink receptive. Is it a microscopically "rougher" surface? Is it coated? Or does it have to do with the polymer matrices (having a more open structure)? Inquiring minds want to know. JB
  18. Bronze plaques or.......

The granite piece I used for my sign was a standard item most every monument shop would have on hand. JB
  19. Bronze plaques or.......

A bronze that large will still need a monument to attach it to. Contact your local monument shop. It would be the most economical to sandblast it in granite. It'll be there for centuries and will require very little, if any, maintenance depending on how they cut the letters. This is eleven...
