  1. Question What Printer would you stake your business on?

Isn't the 1650 a UV machine? You going to use it for wraps?
  2. Question What Printer would you stake your business on?

Please re-read the original message from 2CT Media. Sounds like he lost faith and is frustrated with HP for service and support. Not sure telling him to buy another generation HP solves his confidence issues with HP. Then again, maybe if you buy a "bigger" machine from HP you get better support?
  3. Question What Printer would you stake your business on?

What model Epson are you testing? Keep us updated!
  4. Question What Printer would you stake your business on?

If i had that volume, I'd buy a few medium speed machines vs 1 giant fast machine, esp if it is an HP and has issues/downtime.
  5. Question What Printer would you stake your business on?

2CT Media you didn't order 2 of the 60600L's yet? :D They are $5k off at the moment, and I'm sure Grimco will do even better than that, and may even offer a "trade in" on your HP's by just giving them the serial #'s and not really wanting them back (Epson promotion).
  6. Are all General Formulations Vinyls all becoming incompatible with Latex?

I use a roll or two of the GF202 per week on my HP Grain Train Latex, and no issues with the vinyl so far.
  7. Question What Printer would you stake your business on?

Can you try one of the digi-dri units? Someone else on here said they are using them and laminating directly after they come off the machine. Units are fairly cheap if you can't wait a few hours to lam. I have not tried it yet.
  8. Question What Printer would you stake your business on?

The simple answer for you based on quality support and print speed and quality is Epson S60600L (bulk ink model). You can also add the Digi-Dri if you need to lam immediately and can't wait a couple of hours. Good to see you get off the HP Latex Grain Train! Grimco is reselling the Epson line...
  9. New Plotter - FC9000 or something else?

BETTER LATE ThEn nEvEr I GueSS. :D
  10. New Plotter - FC9000 or something else?

Summa all the way, we got out of a FC8600 and moved to two Summa cutters and never looked back.
  11. Very frustrated with cutting. hp 315

Correction, the HP 315 is just a printer. What cutter are you using that you are having these issues? As much as I dislike my Latex machine (print quality sucks, durability of the mechanics suck, etc), I use it to print 1000's of small'ish stickers 2" or 3" a week, and cut them on my Summa...
  12. Suggestions New Printer/laminator

HP did the same last year, I think it was $10 per cartridge - for the same thing. Inflation? All the vinyl makers did it too, make sure when your vendors are raising their rates for supplies, you are raising your rates to your customers as well.
  13. Looking for a new printer....need your opinions

Latex 315 owner here, I jumped on the grain train when it came out. My next printer will be an Epson, unless something new comes out before then. The printer works OK for far distance viewing, anything close up and it is fugly as all get out. If stickers are something you do a lot of with...

    Check out Summa!
  17. Discussion Solvent and latex?

Agree, and letting the prints sit for 24 hours or 24 months I don't think will "dry" the oil/optimizer, the only thing that will is heat.
  18. Discussion Flexi 19

Still on latest 12 version. I keep my 19 version updated and test it every now and then, hoping it gets better with time but still pretty bad. You'd think with the price increases last year they would have hired a QA team to do some real testing of this stuff before they launch it.
  19. Discussion Solvent and latex?

I am by no means a printer expert, but my understanding is that waiting before anything with latex doesn't do anything for you, since the ink cures with heat. I wonder why they would tell you to wait. I've had times my wonderful latex doesn't have even heat on the curing platen, and I've used...
