Who or what the heck is Dierks Bentley?
  2. Grimco and Orafol

This is indeed good news! I hope their pricing is competitive, I'd like to shorten my vendor list (advantage, uscutter, signwarehouse, fellers, grimco, etc) and send more to Grimco if they are competitive on Oracal. I normally get stuff next day from Grimco in my area, at little to no...

  4. Cutting magnet on Graphtec FC 8600, anyone try it?

I don't want to have to keep moving the blade holder back and forth to get perf cutting. My understanding is, blade in normal position, cut job, stop, move blade holder position, resubmit job for perf cut, stop, move blade back, and repeat...such a pita as I have many back to back jobs that...
  5. Cutting magnet on Graphtec FC 8600, anyone try it?

How do you like perf cutting on the FC8600? I saw video's where you have to change the blade holder position and then submit your job again to get perf cuts, which seems like a PITA to do. I'm actually looking at a smaller Summa for our perf cut jobs, where I don't have to do anything special...
  6. looking for a new plotter to do perf cutting, suggestions?

Phil, Is this a feature on all of your cutters or just a certain model cutter? If across all, does it work the same across all of them and I assume works with Flexi without any problems? Thanks!
  7. Buying new Printer..WHICH ONE?!!

Sort of agree, I'm not an expert by any means, especially compared to the old-timers around here. But I can walk into my shop and be printing on my HP 310 within 2 to 3 minutes, assuming I already have material loaded and ready to go. If I have to load a roll, that takes another 3 or 4 minutes...
  8. First Laminator

Hello All! We are a small sticker and decal shop, and we do a bunch of small signs, 10x14 type. I've been using a Big Squeegee to laminate everything so far, but think it is about time we move into a laminator. I've been looking at 30-40" capable systems, and so far looking at Royal Sovereign...

Flexi Cloud Subscription, full suite package including design, rip, print/cut, etc. $59 a month for month to month, $49 a month for 1 year commitment (still charged monthly). I also have some design only subscriptions for $19 per month on various shop computers, which can still rip/print/cut...

Thanks for the info, the fumes are a non starter for me, so back to looking for something else.
  14. CJV150 in general and perf cut

Thanks for the info, this is probably a deal breaker for us as I need ecosol and was planning on orange and lt black. Back to shopping around I guess. Tom
  15. CJV150 in general and perf cut

Thanks! A question on the inks, what's the difference between the SS21 and ES3 inks? I assume the ES3 are ecosol? Even though the Mimaki site says the SS21 are also ecosol...so I'm confused now. Their site says the CJV150 will take SS21 or ES3. Thanks, Tom
  16. CJV150 in general and perf cut

Not many CJV150 users around here? :(
  17. CJV150 in general and perf cut

Hi All! I'm looking to add a "small" print and cut printer to our shop. Today I use an HP 310 and Graphtec FC8600, which are working fine minus the color issues I constantly chase on the HP. We use Flexi and Flexi for our RIP, just FYI. We focus solely on stickers, decals, and small signs...
  18. Buying new Printer..WHICH ONE?!!

You're saying the Epson quality is bad, or this specific printer is bad?
  19. Buying new Printer..WHICH ONE?!!

I got the same email. I assume this is Epson clearing out the channel for the new models ready to hit the market. Tom
  20. Buying new Printer..WHICH ONE?!!

I can't speak for the other printers, we went from a couple Gerber Thermals to the HP Latex directly, and I have no experience with the eco solvent printers. I was so happy to retire the Gerber printers! With the HP, you will need 2 x 208V/20A power circuits. I went with the HP Latex 310...
