  1. signfonts.com

Fantastic pcs of work IMHO. As bob stated, they do serve a purpose and may not fit every design. That being said, I am pretty partial to them and almost always look to them first during a design.
  2. Do they make gromments for 3mm diabond?

Yes, they're called "long neck" grommets
  3. Windows 7 X3 CutContour tried everything

The color makes no difference at all. Are you sure you need to use the name CutContour and not CutPath? Either way, when you export, ensure it is with Hairline width, and is for sure being exported as a spot color (check the export settings as they default to convert spot to process...it MUST...
  4. Good Wrap School on West Coast??

Check with Pacific Coast Sign Supply and see when their next one is.
  5. Contact Manager Software?

MS Excel or OpenOffice would be a decent tool to use too. It would be pretty easy to set up various cells that allow for entry of dates and then calculated dates for follow ups. A lot depends on the level of sophistication you are after, but I've done some fairly involved spreadsheets as Excel...
  6. Who can do architectural maps?

I have to agree, I've done hundreds of CAD drawings over the years (primarily mechanical drawings of aerospace-related gadgetry). I would have to assume they are looking for true-to-scale artwork here, not an approximation of the truth. I can assure you that it is impossible to recreate what...
  7. Vintage Sign

Yep! Looking good, as mentioned...an inspiration pc.
  8. Server dead, I'm so happy!

I have a Windows Home Server, automatically backs up all connected PCs every night (works kinda like Norton Ghost in that respect) and also distributes all files across multiple hard drives (I currently have 3 500GB HDs) for redundancy.
  9. What is your sign shop xmas present to yourself?

Putting together a new PC, primarily a gaming rig, for me and my eldest son. Did it all for just under $800, got most of the parts from Newegg and the video card from TigerDirect (had the one I wanted and cheaper than others from Newegg if you can believe it). It's all together except for...
  10. Wrap my Hoopty!

We've got this derelict "wrap" outfit in town that offers to do wraps on most rigs for around $300. Of course, their work sucks A-hole and they've got less-than-zero design skills, but they still do a lot of business. I just saw one rig yesterday that we both bid on, they won strictly on...
  11. New computer, should i go XP or Windows 7

The only real differences between home and pro is the XP compatibility mode, support for more RAM (16GB -vs- 192GB) and some other networking features that I think most users don't need (more geared for true office environments with domains and the like). If you are saying that you don't even...
  12. New computer, should i go XP or Windows 7

Can I safely assume you are running Win7 Home Premium and not Pro?
  13. Dec 9, 2009 in pensacola, fl.

Mmm, wish I were there! It's been 10 degrees at my house (lows) for the last several days now.
  14. New computer, should i go XP or Windows 7

I'm looking at building a new PC and am still pretty gun-shy about moving to Win 7. I currently have XP Pro rigs that run everything just fine (and one Vista 32-bit that works too, but I hate the UAC deal). I'd like to build a new rig, but am afraid to go to Win 7 after I picked up (and...
  15. Today?

As already mentioned..."educate" them with RUSH fees!
  16. 5x10 work tble. where did you guy get that 5x10 sheet??

I didn't...used 4x8 sheets and cut them as needed. No need to have a single 5x10 sheet of plywood. Topped the table with a self-healing mat. There you go.
  17. vinyl and vehicle rivets

    Get the Rob Ivers videos...
  18. x-rite

If you get an EyeOne (i1) which has been rebadged as the X-Rite equivalent, you need the PROOF model at minimum (that's the one I have).
  19. Roland SP-540V - contour-cutting off

Maybe I called it out wrong as the Y-direction. The direction it is most off is the length of the material as it feeds out of the machine. This leads me to believe it may have something to do with the feed motor and/or associated gear train.
