just bought 2 - 6'x12' mats from Fellers last month...their price per unit was a little higher slightly higher but NO Shipping charge so the price was actually a little cheaper.
Turnaround from order to delivery was about 5 days plus a weekend
I print on the 3751 with a Mutoh 1624 using a Fellers Avery color profile....looks great
When I print on our 1614 I switch to an older Oracal 3651 profile and get great results
it works fine...we have used rapid tac in the past and spray both surfaces and use a hard squeege with a cover so you can push hard to get all the liquid out with one pass...

Mutoh was never able to fix this error and it continued on even after multiple parts being replaced and troubleshooting...Crashed over 20 sets of ink...the good news is they finally replaced the printer....got a new 1624 yesterday...nice upgrade from the 1324
Big Squeegee works great for all size prints on foamcore...make sure the ink is 100% dry/off gassed especially if there is a lot of dark colors or full coverage ink.
We train the newbies on foamcore with the big squeegee as it is the easiest substrate to learn and practice on....
I would really like to switch to a bulk system for both my 1324 and my 1614 but I am still under warranty until the end of the year and I don't want to jeopardize my service contract...
Talked to Mutoh...they are going to send out a reader board and a junction board...I asked for this specifically thanks to your post....appreciate the info!
Steps so far...usually about a week inbetween errors/crash
1st error...Mutoh replaced inks
2nd error...Mutoh upgraded firmware and replaced inks
3rd error....Mutoh sending out a tech to replace readers and replacing inks
Hope to get this mystery solved soon...
