jd, with humidity/dust playing a factor anything can happen. The best thing would be to keep the printer and paper in a climate controlled area away from the elements. It's trying enough to hit a target color if you don't have the correct profiles or if your monitor isn't calibrated to your...
Actually, that is Epson's systematic way of isolating the problematic part. In order for the Epson tech to fix the printhead, he had to first replace the motherboard. If the motherboard wasn't the issue, he moved on to the print head, or something along those lines. All I know is he replace the...
If you buy the ink/printer through Conde, they will be able to support you as you need it. Sublimation is a bit tricky when first starting out and there are many variables that go into producing a print that is sellable. Quality/brand of ink, paper quality, correct ICC profiles just to name a...
Maybe Mosh could cut them down since he carries the stock AND has the shears. It was right in front of you face the whole time., Jeesh. All you gotta do is ask.
Basically what I meant by double dipping is that he will do one side and flip it around and do the other. Most of the dippers I've seen do it all in one continuous motion, distorting the print.
Printer for sale. Pump assembly, dampers, wipers and print heads were replaced approximately three years ago. Nothing but OEM EcoSol inks have been used. This has been an exceptional printer and has served me well. Regularly maintained and used about every other day. Few ink stains here and...
He does great work. I've seen other company's stuff and the extra time he takes (better prep and double dip vs. single) definitely shows. He stays covered up and has a 4 to 6 week wait. He has anywhere from 30 to 40 jobs waiting. It's crazy.
That video is actually a poor representation as to what the fished product could look like. That pattern of carbon fiber looks too artificial and the color is way off. Also in the video they used a matte finish and not a gloss/shiny clear. I'll try to post a pic this afternoon of my buddy's work.
I have a guy as well. He's been going strong for about 12 years. He knows his stuff. Sent me some pics the other day and it impressed me and that's hard to do.
If I were you, I'd charge .50. That way you are guaranteed to be the cheapest and have his business for life. Think of all that money! lol
Oh, and about your comment about that being the only way to be competitive. Delivering on or before the time agreed upon, the general way you present...
Man, I just knew I had seen that somewhere. Very close. At least I know I am going in the right direction if they were successful with theirs. lol
Butto, I don't know what to say about that last pic you posted.
