  1. Shout out to premier colour

Shill in Engrish even. As long as Fred doesn't mind I suppose.
  2. Inexpensive consumable parts for xc-540

Roland isn't tooling up and manufacturing these specifically so I would imagine that some of the aftermarkets might well be the same part.
  3. Problem Printing on Glossy Vinyl (Spotting/Orange Peel)

I am curious to follow this thread and see the answers and what you find works. I think it might end up being heat related as well. Maybe there is a tutorial on different heat settings and effects.
  4. Inexpensive consumable parts for xc-540

    Bump - Anyone?
  5. Inexpensive consumable parts for xc-540

OK, there is a huge disparity between the prices of OEM and aftermarket parts like dampers, cap tops, wipers etc... On some things this might well be for good reason but sometimes it's just huge markups. My question, is anyone having great luck with these items off of ebay or from another...
  6. Working something out?

    Or he did neither.
  7. Squeegee Alliance

How does this really differ from subbing out work to a wholesaler, marking it up and giving it to your customer? I think that most of us do this already with at least some products.
  8. Printing RED ?

Oracal has pallets that you can download with swatches for their different lines like 951series, 751 series... lots of great colors for designing signs and they seen to print well on my xc-540 as well. I use rgb illustrator files, save as .eps, enable spot colors, max impact or sign and...
  9. Any opinions on General Formulations AutoMark Concept 230

It starts to pull of the backing paper on the edges sometimes while even on the sign table. Other than that I have used it a bit and it has held up well. I have thought about switching to it instead of 3651 for other flat work that we do.
  10. Printing RED ?

I have had good luck with 42k and 43k on the Roland swatches but have just recently started using some swatch pallets from Oracal 751 and like them.
  11. Falsely accused of copying design

I have known some really great pitbull dogs, I've also known two that were the sweetest thing ever until they mauled. 8 years, same responsible owner and bam. They are very powerful animals. There are some good statistics on www.dogsbite.org and some myths dispelled. I'm not completely...
  12. Need to make a 20' wide by 8' banner

We seam them horizontally and have had no problems. I print with an overlap, then trim the top piece. We then lay and align the banners out on a racquetball court of one of our customers. Fold back the top piece, run hem tape on the bottom one, fold top piece back over onto bottom piece, then...
  13. Stencil Help

I'm confused. They want a 'stencil' to use only once on one wall? Are you talking about a paint mask? If so I would charge the same as I would for cut vinyl of the same size, reverse or positive matters not.
  14. Fan Ridicule Leads Soccer Team To Abandon Logo

Oh goodie, 100's can do $500 worth of work each to get a chance for one person to get paid and 499 to get stiffed? Maybe I'll let them invite 500 people to every one of their games and one fan can win a chance to pay for their ticket. Tools!
  15. Roland Disappointment XR-640

I had a couple of minor issues in the beginning with my 540 from the stand not being mated perfectly true and the printer not being leveled up perfectly from my own installation and set up; An hour or so more of setup and everything has been good.
  16. USTECH MVT-600 "missing bar" question

I use them both on my AK
  17. JV33-260 - Pinch-Rollers cause lines in dark areas

I have had times where I couldn't get rid of it and have had to print with only the outside pinch rollers; That has required me to pre-roll out the media as it printed to relieve tension.
  18. USTECH 65" MVT-600 cold laminator purchase from Dave at bestdgi.com

Be a little careful; The rubber rejuvenators that we used in offset could had the potential to swell the rubber. Apparently my laminator doesn't have the automated features, although it seems to work flawlessly I can't say that I have ever felt like I could walk away and let the laminator work...
  19. "Fabric Banner" For Ecosolvent printer

If you are just trying to find banner with the look of fabric, ultraflex makes a banner type material with canvas embossing that prints well with eco-sol.
